    And absolute **** as well.

I think the Sonic 8-bit games are great as well, all except that awful one with the pre-rendered graphics.

Sonic Crackers? Meh can't see myself ponying out for a proto cart... I know others are into that but it's just not me.

I already have all four mega drive carts at this point. Infact I think Sonic 2 was yours o1s1n... :P

    *edit*

    My mistake that was OwaynOTT

Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Blast, Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Spinball, Sonic Crackers.

All of the above or else it's incomplete :D

Everything after the word Knuckles is a lie :D Sonic Spinball?? Ffs man :P Agreed re Chaotix, its certainly nowhere near the caliber of the classic lineup.

I'd be happy with Sonic 1 to 3 and Mean Bean Machine, although I'd personally prefer the Puyo Puyo original tbh

You prefer Mean Bean Machine over Sonic & Knuckles??

Puyo Puyo is up there with tetris as one of the best puzzle games of all time.

I never really enjoyed Sonic & Knuckles, for some reason, 1 to 3 were great but, I don't know, I think I had moved on to the 3DO and straight then onto the PS at that point, kinda left 16bit behind for a while, before coming crawling back, crying, dribbling and snotting while apologising and swearing I'd never leave it again....

Can't beat MBM to get my platinum on the Sega Genesis Collection on PS3 :(
Tried all the tricks for the last level but its not to be.

Being playing through Metroid Zero mission on the GBA and have to say I'm impressed! It seems a tad short as I'm up to Ridley already but still took me 3 or 4 hours to find my way around. ( Holes in the floor in Kraids area took about an hour as I thought I missed an item from another area ) It aint no super Metroid but its not as far off as I thought it would be

I really enjoyed Zero Mission, preferred it to Fusion. There is a whole second section although I found it a bit difficult and frustrating so never finished it.

Ninja Gaiden, which can be frustrating.

Ha, trust me it gets worse on the last level when you realise the true horror of the final boss bug.

Its the jumping backwards when hit that is irritating me. Its in castlevania as well but the enemies are ideally placed to push you back into a pit and the respawing!
Also I jumped down a part in the second stage where you're meant to got down and died because I didn't use the ladder ffs.

Back in my parents house for the week, found the n64 under the bed. Happy days! Currently playing Lylat Wars a good bit, and half way thourgh Perfect Dark. Only problem is that the games look awful on a 32 inch LCD tv. Is there any other way to connect to a TV other than the composite cable Im using? Might search the attic for a small CRT tv i think is up there

The modified s-video cables from consolegoods are the best way to increase the video quality on a PAL N64. They visual quality increase is huge with those cables.

Got there before me. Bought one recently. Well worth the money. Lylat wars never looked sooooo good.

    Goodness me!
I have just discovered some sort of gaming Nirvana.
I have a flash... thingy for my GBA and hence am able to play all manner of game that I don't yet have.
One of these, or rather a series of these, are the Bit Generations titles.
The greatest of which, imho, is Dotstream, a stripped down racer featuring...... coloured lines!
    Hardcore!

Ok, pretty good game on the GBA or GB Micro.

But, thanks to the wonders of modern technology, and some dubious emulation, I have it running on the Arcade cab, and it is amazing on it!
Sound is great, the visuals perfect, I am dazzled!

Only dark spot on the front of these stylish slacks is the lack of a two player mode :(

Now, I know this is already available on the big screen, via the Wii and the VC, there it's called the far less classy (San Diego) Light Trax....

But, on a 15Khz screen, it's some kinda bliss!

Been playing even more X-Com UFO Defense and I can safely say that it would be vying for a top 10-20 position in my all time favourite games. It's wonderful and there's so many options that you could start a new game and it will never play the same. At the moment the tables are starting to turn, I'm getting the best equipment in the game and have unlocked psychic powers for my characters. Unfortunately there's two Ethereal bases threatening my second base of noobs and I don't have enough psychic troops to compete with thier psychic warfare. Soon though.

I finished Ikachan on the 3DS. It's a very short metroid type game by Pixel who made Cave Story. It's very good with some great fishy puns but it's very very short.

I also started Adventure Time on the 3DS. I have to say the 3D looks fantastic on 2D games.

I've been playing a bit of Crimson Shroud and far from sold on it yet. I think I like the idea more than I like the execution - something is simply lost in the transition from communal tabletop board game to singeplayer 3DS JRPG. The combat system is potentially interesting but starts off at a snail's pace. The laughably overwritten story and cutaways don't help. I'll give it more time, but I definitely don't think it is in any way, shape or form an RPG gamechanger.

I've also finally got the chance to play Hotline Miami, which is absolutely amazing and totally deserving of the praise. Being a vicious mass murderer from the 80s has never been so compulsive!

The laughably overwritten story and cutaways don't help.

How dare you say that about a Matsuno work translated by Alexander O. Smith!

It's not like a normal RPG, it's morelike Riviera if you have played it, lots of dialogue interspersed with battles. It's closer to a visual novel. The battles take a long time because there's so little of them. I'm not sure what you think is wrong with the writing, I really like it. My only problems are the excellent soundtrack has one awful track that is very out of place, what the hell were they thinking with that one, and the 3D effect looks particularly terrible for some reason, it seems not able to handle aliased edges. Also there's an item hunting section later on which is annoying and pure filler.

So I bought gunbird for the ps2 a few weeks ago and played it may twice for about 10 mins each time not really getting in to it.

However I just completed the gunbird 1 on the easiest level for the first time.

I won't lie, I found that very tough even on the lowest difficulty I nearly threw the controller at the screen a few times but eventually after thousands of continuous I finally finished it.

Think I'll leave gunbird 2 for another night.
