I guess I have even less expendable income, a pair of GP4000s II in 28mm must do it for me for now. .. BTW, they measure whopping 31mm when mounted!

If they stole my CdF (knock on wood!) or/and I won lotto, I'd buy this one tonight, no hesitation.

What happened to your dura ace ones?

More importantly: why settle for less? :P

Nice wheels. Let us know how they roll. I'm debating whether to buy a pair or hold out and save for c24s.

The front wheel was damaged when I got knocked off the bike. Had a friend look at it but it might be beyond repair. Will need to drop it in somewhere just to see if its the case.

I just wanted something lighter for the summer months. No point hauling around heavy 32 spoke open pros and a dyno hub when they're not needed. *cough Mick Byrne 200 cough*
Also, damn cheaper than new DA's.

1650g for 300 odd quid? Nice. They have the same spoke+rim system as my XT version (1850g), and I'm really happy with their stiffness and how they roll.

I spent €150 on tyres today, 2 x schwalbe one for my road bike, 2 x ultremo r1's for the track bike....the funny thing is that it's my commuter that needs new tyres....

They're the older 6700 wheels so they came in under €300.Listed €302 on CRC but I used a voucher. Just wanted a good set of wheels at the best price I could find, hence not spending the extra for the 6800's. If they're anything like my DA set I'll be a happy audaxer.:D

Saw those on my searches. Call me fussy but the new colour on the hubs Shimano are using these days does nothing for me. Love the older silver hubs.:o

So it turns out that N+1 will be a Canyon Endurace CF 8.0. 105 5800 with DT Swiss R24 wheels, albeit the 2014 model of the bike with Ritchey cockpit. Should be a nice upgrade from a Trek 1000 that's going on 10 years old! I'll be retaining that as a commuter/bad weather bike though, having put several upgrades on it over the years (105 5700 shifters & mechs, compact chainset, etc.), especially with the ability to put a rack on it.

Incidentally, does anyone know what canyon are like for delivery times to Ireland when the bike was ordered from stock?

Out of Interest what does it weigh?

edit: I found it 8.8 kg , not bad despite the wheel size and disc brakes.

New saddles for the good bike and city hack respectively.

The Selle Italia team saddle on the good bike is showing a surprising amount of wear and I've always fancied the Arione.

I only got an arione R5 the other day should be here next week unfortunately I failed to do a bit of reading up and bought the one that's for the most flexible people. It may well be in adverts by Fri :D
