Could you ever kill yourself?

I was just read in about the recent suicide of Roh Moo-Hyun who killed himself due to his last legacy (being a clean politician), being muddied by recent corruption revelations. A German billionaire killed himself when he lost everyhting a few months ago. What would you do if you lost everything? Money, reputation, dignity…

I don't think i could. It would put my family through torture but also a big part being i don't think i would have the balls to go through with it. Hopefully i will never feel so bad in life that i see no other option.

Money? Nope... It's just money. Easy come - easy go.
Reputation? What reputation?
Dignity? I'd survive without it...

The only reasons I can think of are:

Death of my family (10 years old son and lovely wife)
Terrible pain (like a cancer pain, etc.)

Well, that'd be it.

Ah, and as a side note: I have to admit that I've had some silly thoughts a few years back, but looking at life from the current perspective makes me think that I'd be most stupid person ever if I did it.
