still snowing on and off here but because the ground is wet it aint sticking. we just had a fairly heavy shower and looked like it would have stuck had the show lasted longer, but it stopped and what started to stick has now gone.

Just rain really now - not even sleet. Think that's that for here. Quite miserable outside atm.

There seems to be warm air mixed up in the precip so in Dublin and northwards will be rainy/sleety for a while before turning back to snow, at least thats what seems to be happening here (except it was always snow due to elevation).

It was whiteout here an hour or so ago but then suddenly stopped. Attached some pics from my back fence into the fields beyond. I really hope it picks up again the snow left was lovely and fluffy! Like being 10 again....:)

per the radar on bbc all the precipitation looks like it is heading west from dublin as opposed to south. not sure where meteireann got heavy snow showers from in the south unless there is the odd isolated one..also bbc showing fog..any expert in the south reading it differently?

Its justs VERY marginal here on coast, ever so slighty lower down and nearer the sea here. Temp rising here now, still raining 2.7C/1.5C
