Apologies, I had to drop people to the airport at 4am this morning and as a result I slept in a bit this morning! Went out at 11am instead. Wish I'd got out at 9am cause the sun came out around noon and it started to get quite hot. Last few miles of the 20 were a real struggle as a result.

No worries, we hung around for a few mins but no sign, so we just took off! It did get quite hot though as the morning went on!

8am is too early for me as I wake up 3 times a week around 5.45am for my early mid week runs, I want to treat myself with an extra hour and half sleep before my LSR. Said that, we could catch around 9am!

    Everybody OK for Saturday?
Weather is looking good for this my last +20m run.
What are the chances of temperatures in the high teens for marathon day?
    Eat well and hydrate today.
Good luck to everyone else on their runs this weekend.:)

Final LSR done and dusted, and in great company again.
We had a great discussion on gels and I think from what we had read on other threads we have all revised our race day strategies!

I did not get the full run on my Garmin, did anybody get it? Just the time/distance is all I need. I think we did about 13/14Km but how do I explain nodding off on Sunday afternoon and not waking up for 4 hours????:D I haven't felt that tired this year even after my longest +20m LSR. I think I will put the feet up for the rest of the week.

Good luck to all for the last week of taper.

I haven't checked my garmin since but I can confirm the distance we definitely ran 14km, as for the pace I think it was 6.10min/km. This week is sooooo long... will go for 5 and 6km tomorrow and Thursday myself and that will be it. At this stage I am more focused on not getting sick like last year but I'm so paranoid!!

I'm heading tp PPark sunday at 10 ish for 22-24m. Could link up with you for a few miles if you're interested. Was planning 8:30/8:40 pace but don't mind picking up the pace a little.

That's cool with me. We can start around 8:30/mile and gently step it up as we see fit. I can meet you at Papal Cross CP so for 10am?
Better bring our km->miles conversion tables!!:pac:

looking to do around 15 miles myself Saturday afternoon, where you thinking of heading? 8 minute miles seems a bit hot for a 20 miler no?!
