looking to do around 15 miles myself Saturday afternoon, where you thinking of heading? 8 minute miles seems a bit hot for a 20 miler no?!

what are you ? My mother ? :D. The thoughts of doing it doesn't fill me with warm feelings, but I promised myself that I would go for a sub-4 in donadea and I need to get the times down, which I am finding hard to do since DCM. I need to get a few fastish long runs in. I will probably do like I did last weekend, start off around 8.20 pace and finish up with 7.30 pace.

I was thinking of heading out through Rathmines, past your gaff and out towards Sandyford direction and back down through Blackrock. You could probably make 15 out of that ?

:D I jest, since I've started training by HR my long runs have been around 9.15ish, but I'd say around 8.00 will hit my "steady state" HR so I'll call it a longish steady run instead.

sounds like a plan so, I'll loop home somewhere along the way, what time will you hit Rathmines, anytime between 2-3pm is grand, I'll pick up with you at the bottom of the Rathgar Road where the Esso garage is?

Planning a 'recce of the first leg of the Wicklow Way relay this Sunday (time flexible), from the starting point in Kilmashogue car-park, as far as Curtlestown. Can help out with pick-up/drop-off, or car-pooling. Would suit WW relay runner, or someone looking for a nice scenic hill/trail run.
