Where in Killarney is the most economical hotel to use their spa area, like sauna, steam rooms and power Jacuzzi pools, would love to do a day there, I have no idea of the prices of these comforts

Suppose you could always try phoning some?

A four man Garda motorcycle escort with blue lights flashing accompanying a garda car with its lights also flashing came towards me and other motorists about 3 miles this side of Farranfore on our way back from Tralee this afternoon. I wonder what it was? Did anyone else see it?

According to a report on Raidio na Gaeltachta they were on a training run - in case someone very important calls our way I guess! They were in Annascaul earlier in the day, so maybe they headed back through Inch to Farranfore?

It was impressive - a bit like a Mission Impossible scenario. So nothing big then!

Can anyone recommend me a pub in town for a group of 15 lads to watch the Liverpool match? Not fussy, just somewhere we'll be comfortable with a couple of screens

Charlie Foleys is a Liverpool pub. Plenty space, plenty big screens.

K-town is a pretty good pub to watch a match in too.

Traffic is insane the last couple days. Suppose the races has brought more traffic around

Anywhere in Killarney that would sell the Amazon Fire TV Stick over the counter??

Tried PC World online site for Tralee...and no stock.

Otherwise... its back to ordering online.

Get it off Amazon, use parcel motel to get it sent to killarney. There's a dropbox across from the Reeks filling station. Use it all the time, very good service.

Yes indeed but it's generally bad anyway. The school traffic and associated traffic will be back in the mix now so not going to get better anytime soon.

Does anywhere in Killarney sell decent cigars? And by decent I mean Cuban not King Alfred’s or whatever they’re called.

Celtic Whiskey Bar on New Street sells Cuban cigars, but I believe they're expensive.

    B]SNIP[/B

Probably best to contact the shop for that info. I wouldn't expect anyone to post it here tbh and don't think it's right to ask

Is anyone else having problems with vodafone internet service in Killarney?
I called the service centre who two weeks ago said that there is a problem here and then again today and as soon as I got off the phone from them on both occasions it came back on.
What the in the name of Tesla is going on I wonder?!

What exactly is wrong with your service? I’ve had it a year and the only problem I had was a service blackout due to line repairs in Countess a few weeks back.

It seems to be running ok now. Before now I've had no problems since 2014,until about two weeks ago. My computer was showing it to be connected, but the websites BBC radio, Boards.ie and etc were all saying that I wasn't connected and I was unable to get them during the day; however I had no problems with it at night. I called the service crew who told me that there was a problem in parts of Kerry and other counties and that it would take two weeks for it to be solved. I was away on holidays out of the country last week and when I returned I was still having the problem at daytime and again the service crew said that there still was a problem with the system in Kerry etc. It may be fixed now - but the strange thing is that just after I called them before and my phone number was acknowledged to be a customer the problem ceased, within minutes but still continued intermittently. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Any idea what the roads are like now; down trees, wires? Just getting ready to head out.

Check the Kerry County Council Facebook page or twitter. They have updates on there.

It's not terrible out there on the roads. Heavy rain and blustery but no obstructions that I'm aware of.

All off-licences are legally allowed to open from 10.30am. That includes supermarkets selling alcohol, it can't be sold before 10.30am. They close at 10pm.

    12.30pm to 10pm on Sundays.

    Definitely not 10am (legally anyway)
