Penn

Never had any interest in NFL until I decided to pick up Madden 11. Since I had no idea about NFL, I just went with the first team that came up, which was the Saints. Have had the game since just after it come out and I still haven't played as any other team.

I've been a patriots fan since i was a child, before they really blew up into winning all the superbowls. I cant remember why i chose them but it had something to do with my brother being a fins fan, and the first game i ever watched was a thriller that the pats won, and i was fascinated by them. Went out and bought madden and played as the pats and the rest is history!

Should have updated this earlier. Changing from Eagles to Lions. I got into the game last season and initially became a fan of the Eagles but after learning their history, watching them play 2 games and sitting in awe at some of the things Barry Sanders did I became a Lions fan. Looking rosy in the garden right now!

Another Steelers addition.. Another random selection.. While in America about 5 years ago i was in a footlocker and they had loads of NFL t-shirts on sale.. So basically standing in front of the wall i picked out a Steelers tee and that's it.. And luckily didn't have to wait too many years for a superbowl!!!!:D

In the early 90's my Aunt lived in Philly and sent me an Eagles T-shirt. it was the first NFL merchandise I ever recieved so that was what decided it, I've been supporting them ever since!

Subsequently got a Patriots Tee off my uncle living in Boston at the same time but it didn't change my mind

I only started following NFL this season tbh. The Texans - Ravens game being the first one I properly watched but I love it now! And I was rooting for the Texans so I just support them, maybe a random reason. The Ravens won by the way.

Got Madden for the PSP and my commute in the mornings is so much more fun

Don't support any particular college team but still enjoy watching random CFB games when they're on!

This is a deadly thread and loved some of the stories! haha, I got tickets to a Bears / Eagles game back in 06, the game that T.O caugt the touchdown pass and did the sit ups celebration! And loved them ever since, I also lived there for four years so couldn't reall avoid it! Also keep my eye on the raiders in the AFC because of an ex girlfriend's dad from California! He loves USC too and I fell in love with them! Love watching out for USC players and love that C.Palmer is now a raider! Love Sanchez and hate that Leinart is such a bust!

Just added myself there. Well the Packers were basically one of the first teams I'd heard of as such due to a family friend giving me a baseball cap with their logo on it a good few years back. Watched a few games of theirs over the years when Favre was there and then I decided to back them for the Superbowl last year after about 2-3 games into the season so was fully them then! :P Picked up a throwback Favre jersey at the end of last season and now pretty much all my mates are into it which is very strange for the area we're from - currently there's a Bears fan, Steelers fan, Colts fan and Redskins fan.

So it's good banter at weekends and that. Still pretty much a rookie when it comes to knowledge of the game but picking it up all the time.

Started watching NFL about 06 and initially supported Cowboys but after watching for a bit i loved the Chargers offence which had Rivers, LT & Gates(still at their best), Vincent Jackson just emerging, Sproles being a serious weapon. They were great to watch and Merriman was still a force on the defence.

Between Testaverde and Sanchez, its looks like we'll never get to a Superbowl, and i had high hopes at the start of the season. Playoffs at a stretch....

i'm new into the NFL just recently didnt have a fav team at the start but i've been following the broncos resluts very impressed with tim tebow have a soft spot for the seahawks packers jaguars and the giants but sticking with the broncos.

Well one of the first games i watched in NFL was the Dallas Cowboys New York Giants game a long time ago, and I became a fan of Tiki Barber and so ended up supporting the Giants religiously ever since!Ended up with that fairytaile season in Superbowl XLII with "that catch" by Tyree to beat the previously undeafeated Patriots. Always watch a Giants game since, so as expected watching channel 4 now!

I also have a soft spot for the Vikings and the Titans as my girlfriend comes from Nashville and she has family over in Minnesota:). Also I like watching Vikings games in general

I had always been a Patriots fan because my uncle lives in Boston, I figured I'd go for the closest team. However, coming up to this years draft I heard a lot about Julio Jones and when he got drafted to the Falcons I started to support them. Besides, once I looked into it and found that the Patriots are "cheaters" I couldn't stick around :P
