Lions fan here (as my username may suggest).
Got interested in them back in the 90's when Barry Sanders was in his prime, running around opponents backlines. His mesmerising runs was what captured my attention & have been following the lions ever since.

They have had absolutely horrendous seasons since than but it looks like we might finally turning a corner towards respectability (and hopefully a few playoff games in the next few years!)

I guess I must have been a glory hunter back in the late 80's when I started watching, but have been paying for it ever since.

Started watching NFL one Sunday night when i was sick back around '02 maybe.Seen what i think was a playoff game or a crucial end of season game anyway with Steelers playing.I think Kordell Stewart was their QB back then.Anyway the Steelers were camped on their opponents(cant remember who) goal line a few times in the 4th Q but couldnt get the TD.Im a sucker for the underdog and i got the impression the Steelers were a big undedog in that game which they lost in a "heartbreaker" as i think its known as.So i started to follow them.They had a good D but Maddox wasnt great,he got injured and Big Ben was brought in and had a great season.I had been thinking all they needed was a good QB so i thought Ben was it and i put 20e on them at the start of the '05 season at odds of 14/1.They had the Bus back then and won the SB vrs Seahawks that year.I've not been to a game yet but have loads of Steelers merchandise.Hoping they come to Wembley next season and cant wait for this Sunday:).

I have been a Bolts fan since the 80's.Back in the early C4 days I was looking for a team to support and the final decision I made was down to the film "Karate Kid". Theres a very short scene in it were Ralph Macchio is wearing a Wes Chandler Chargers jersey, while chatting up some bird. I thought the jersey was cool and have been a bolts fan ever since.

I began playing Madden on the xbox a few years ago and in it I was playing Be a pro (Not sure of the name). I got drafted to the Texans but that was when I fell in love with them. Is it bad being a Texans fan? Not at all, we have good and bad days like everybody else but that's what makes it fun. I love when I wear a hoodie or jersey bearing the logo, I get puzzled looks but I enjoy being one of the rare few that supports them.

Big Bengals fan, only real reason is I was the Bengals were the first franchise I had in Madden, completed 6 seasons with them, got to 2 superbowls, won 1. Used to have great fun throwing to Chad Johnson(as he was known then) and the Housh. Their cornerbacks were lethal too, Deltha O neil and Leon Hall, pick, pick, pick all day long. Carson Palmer was good too, he was actually good back then. I shudder to think what his rating in madden is these days... Somewhere in the Todd Collins bracket I imagine...:(

Packers fan VERY LATE hahahah I've had a general interest in Football for years, but never had sky so I couldn't watch games. SB is always on the sunday so due to babylon ( formally known as school ) I couldnt watch a SB until last week. AND IT WAS AMAZING. I backed the Packers before the game started cause my mate told me about them so i looked them up. Their history is so awesome and Green jerseys, where can u go wrong ? I felt a part of something when they won, so I now and forever will be a cheesehead

I've been a Colts fan the past two years or so. I got into the NFL after watching the superbowl for a couple of years without actually watching an entire season or supporting a team. At the start of the '09 season, I decided to start watching the game proper.

How did I start supporting the Colts? Well one of the first NFL games I watched was while I was studying abroad in Canada. It was the Colts vs the Patriots in the '06 AFC game where the Colts were down at half time to the Patriots, but managed to come back and win the game. When I started watching the NFL properly, I chose to start watching the Colts because of that game and the Superbowl win that year.

I thought i did this before. I've been watching NFL 3/4 years now. My cousin got me into it. I picked the Jets because i'm a regular visitor to NYC and i wanted a team to watch when i was there. The Green jersey and the fact that the Giants were the more popular (and my cousins team) meant i picked them over the Giants.

Been working in the same office for the last three years now, and have the usual sports / movies etc conversations with the guys I work with, two of them are BIG into their American Football, to the degree that one of them would be more upset about his NFL team (The Patriots) losing than his soccer team (Chelsea) losing, the other would have to genuine trouble deciding if he would prefer his team (The Colts) to win the Superbowl or his county (Meath) winning an All Ireland.


Any way the two guys spent a good bit of time trying to convince me to give the sport a chance (Yes I was one of those “Its just a soft version of rugby” people”, so at the start of last season they invited me to join their NFL Fantasy football league (I came last), and suggested I pick a team, as this would be the best way to cement an interest.

I looked around the league and decided I’d go for one of 3 teams:

• The Packers
• The Browns
• The Jets

Considered the Packers because I do love the story around them and the fan base / ownership structure side of things – sort of a Barcelona of NFL.

The Browns, because I’m an Aston Villa supporter and both teams are owned by Randy Lerner.

But I went for the Jets in the end because I’ve always liked New York teams (when I was a kid I loved Basketball and was a HUGE Knicks fan), and because it had the added bonus of REALLY pissing off my Patriots supporting friend, especially come the play offs!

I’m still very much learning the sport, do not ask me any kind of technical question on the sport itself, but enjoying the buzz of watching games, and taling bout them on a Monday / Tuesday morning.

Father and grandfather were both born in Westchester County, New York and are huge Giants' fans. But my uncle lives in St Pete in Florida, and we spent a few summers out there when I was younger (around the time when the Buccs D was the best in football) so I'm a huge Buccs fan.

Also have a sneaky soft spot for the Chargers after spending some summers in Southern California, and the Cowboys having gone to see one of their training camps in Oxnard,CA when out there a few years ago.

I've been a patriots fan since i was a child, before they really blew up into winning all the superbowls. I cant remember why i chose them but it had something to do with my brother being a fins fan, and the first game i ever watched was a thriller that the pats won, and i was fascinated by them. Went out and bought madden and played as the pats and the rest is history!
