went out circa 160/170 I think peaked at about 140k with around 220 left but lost three races in fast succession and donked my remaining 40k or so. I had set myself a target of getting back with 400k or not at all and in the end was happy to get out of there. GL to Lyodd and Nicky Max and anyone else left in. is Gholimoli still in think he was on the same mission as me Monster stack or none

Its level 1, and I call a raise from a tight guy in early position with J8s. The bb who is also tight calls as well. The flop is Q95, two of my suit. Both players check and I take the free card. The turn is a ten giving me the second nuts, the bb bets out of 500, raiser calls and i do too. Raising would be ok, but I thought I could get more value on the river. River pairs the 9 and the bb bets out for 1500. He seemed tight and this bet screamed strength, I was considering calling, but then the raiser called so I couldnt pass up those odds. Amazingly they both had houses, bb had 55, and the raiser had TT. Flat calling there with TT is so so bad, but it cost me 1500 chips! Im down to 800 or so.

I was the BB on this one. What a start. I could easily have been going home after this hand but was left with 8k or so. Picked up some cards against the maniac later on, followed by a run of cards to get up to 28k. Managed to donk them off later though, and went out 550th or so.

there was this really annoying english dude on my exit table who looked like a goldfish. he would stare you down for ages, in every hand, before folding his J2o. he was staring me down after i shoved for 8 bbs or so, so i flashed him a nipple. he folded.

    nipples are +EV

Haha yeah, for some reason that guy really annoyed me early on, I hate when people act at the table like they know everything, especially when they are as brain dead as he was. If he pushes there I don't think you can fold, I wouldnt anyway!

I thought you played well. I noticed you noticed how easy it was to steal blinds!

What a day of poker - sat in the IPO more or less card dead - and somehow managed to last to 7:30- started off kinda good -got up to 14K but two hands later fell to about 6K and then hung on - got extremely lucky on one or two occassions - A10s v KK aipf, flopped a flush....

Then off to Luke's 50 DC - 42 runners = €2050 prize pool - first hand got AA aifp V KK - AA held up.. got up to about 45K with blinds around 150/300 - got to the final table pretty confortable... ended up third for 300 - cash in hand!!!! :L - knocked out a guy for a 70K+ pot with JJ - 2 hands later i look down at JJ again on BB - SB pushes all in for 27K - have to call - he has AQ - flop comes K104 - turn J:eek: and river was a 2 - which was no help - then slowed played kings into a disaster hand... for about 10 obits in a row the same guy reraised me when i limp in SB and i always folded - but the time i limp with KK he doesn't!!!!!  so finally around 5am i came 3rd-

My own Tourny was not great , Had to help out and deal and play Nicky Power Sat down next to me so playing into nicky is never easy , Tryed to trap nicky and trapped myself after about 2 hours i had 12k , I look down and see 6,6 Blinds100-200 I call a small raise to see the flop flop comes 6d jh qd i check to nicky who bets 1500 folded around I call Turn is 10d , Nicky bets 2k i call River is Qh Pairing the board for my set and giving me a full boat , Nicky bets 2k i min raise to 4k Nicky calls with Q-10 for a Bigger full boat .Just a Cold deck lucky i did not go broke here and really dont know if i played this hand right ?

I got my stack back up to 7500 again after this and was moved to another table where John Magill and Nicky O Donnell are on my right , Two hands in and Steven annonunces a break at the end of the hand so i have Jc-10c Nicky O Donnell raises to 900 with blinds at 150-300 and i call Flop comes
Kc-10h-3c Giving me middle pair with flushdraw and needing chips , Nicky bets 1200 , I instantly re raise all in Nicky calls with Qc-9c for my 6400 left . The one time u dont want a club it comes and that was it for me . Two Hands that killed me, Was a bit shocked to see Nicky call for 1/3 his stack with a Q high Flush draw but then again he was gambling and he had put me on top Pair he said . I had Nicky on A-Q or A-J and reckoned he had missed But all in all i could not get into the game from the dealer positon . He is flyin now though with my chips LOL Best of luck Nicky

Went on to play Cash tables which were very loose and coming from me that fckin loose , Was up about 1k on two 1-2 tables and cashed out for a nice days work . Went on to help Steven with Jp to break Tables for the night

All in all A Long hard day

That fold would be beyond me in a structure like the IPO. I probably would have pushed over the top of a RR too. I must have had the perfect seat there - four tight players on my left and a maniac on my immediate right.

Didn't recognise you at the time. Thx for organising the paintball btw. Top day!

flop bet was 600 and with the turn bringing three diamonds i don't know if you could of done anything different except stack yourself rather then min raise the river

Busto in 75th. Lasted a whole 15mins today. Button raised it up 12x the BB and I looked down at KJ, Thought he had air or maybe a small pocket pair and if I folded I had 6.5BB's left. Decided to call hoping for a race as I was playing to make the final table and he turned over KQ and I missed a miracle gutshot on a AQx flop. When I busted there was 23 players gone in the first 15mins. Shame it turned into a real crapshoot

I went out in a 4 way pot with an 8 to 1 chance of turning 5k into 35k , just after the dinner break......bad gamble i suppose but what chance with 7k in a tourny like this. So is it ever correct to make a bad value bet ?.....for me this was a case to do so...(1000+ entrants and carta mearbh)

    gl Lloyd! :)

    Will there be updates anywhere?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 54 ✭✭ShadowBJ21

They are now down to 35 players. Blinds are 6.000/12.000. There's at least one guy with close to a million in chips.

Unfortunately they just moved the spectators out as the room became too cramped and too hot.

We all got kicked out which is annoying
Lloyd is out. I didn't see the hand but he didn't look too happy not too surprisingly
Samantha was still in as is OzPoker and he has a lot of chips.
That is all I knew from whom I seen

    Out in 36th.

Absolutely sickened. Played perfect poker for the past 2 days and was feeling very confident all weekend.

Good tournament. Few hiccups but that to be expected.

Nicky O'D flying the pokerheaven.com flag had 500K just after they booted out everyone and restarted. No word since.

Was in for a moment: 26 left.
No spectators allowed before the final table!

I liked the whole way the handled the IPO so far but the Jackpot Club is an awful place for this and throwing out the spectators really sucks!

went out last night at about 130 or so.
i picked at 155K but to be honest at blinds 3/6K it looked very short even though it was twice avarage.

with the payout being what it was i decided to either get around 300K or go bust.

i called a raise from UTG+1 from my BB with ATs.
    flop comes K T 4 rainbow.
i push for 50 in to 50K pot which is putting him all in .
he takes ages and ages and eventually calls wtih JJ which was a great call i thought.

after that i was down to 60K and i pushed with KTs and got called by AQ and that was that.

i never really played that well at all during so the whole thing meh

Have to agree, a lot of people turned up to watch this, and this was no place to host the second day. I have never been to the jackpot before but surely somebody could have seen that it wouldnt be big enough.

Finished 35th by the way. great experience but really hated the way it turned into a crapshoot :(

    No you weren't!!
    Check the list! http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=54147827&postcount=856

I was seat 8! And I was sitting there thinking to myself "Oh f*ck have I got the wrong table" every time it came up :D
You were meant to be on T87!

I was the guy who donked his chips off to you with AA vs your straight.
You even gave me a chance with the "If you push I'll be put to a decision ho ho ho" speech, but after the break I'd decided that if I didn't double up soon, I was out of there, so when the hand came up I decided that if you had it you had it, and if you didn't then there was my double up but I wasn't being left with 3/4k chips by folding and trying to rebuild it.

WP though, you played very well while I was at the table.
