    ballanceNEW.jpg vs. l_659e85f5065a6b88d30ef549dafa5627.jpg vs. Bam2.jpg

Bingo Ballance. Ballymun Bruiser. Bam Katrazz. (All pictured, left to right, above) It is the first time the three head trainers of the IwW Training Gym will be in the same ring since IwW Gym War X. It is the first three-way tag-team match since one of the finest matches in IwW history at IwW Gym War III. In a truly historic encounter at a truly historic Gym War, the teachers will team up with the students in a match that has the potential to re-set the standards for IwW's cult-favourite series of Gym Wars.

The IwW Training Gym that saw all three trainers learn the craft which they have since mastered and gone onto major success both nationally and internationally is the host. The IwW Training Gym that has seen these three trainers mentor and develop some of the best talents this country has ever seen. The IwW Training Gym that has seen some of the most controversial and heart-stopping moments in Irish wrestling history. It is there that all three men will choose one lucky student to team up with and battle it out to decide who is the supreme trainer.

But that is not the only question to be answered in both this match and Gym War. The IwW trainers have reportedly still to decide who their hand-picked partners will be and are basing it on sheer work and determination of the most-respected young talents in the gym. The past of the gym, the present trainers and the future of the company will all be on display in a show that is not to be missed.

Who will be the supreme trainer? Who will be their hand-picked trainees? And what else is sure to go down in the IwW Training Gym as it celebrates the 20th edition of the Gym War series that has changed the face of Irish wrestling on so many occassions? The hardcore IwW Gym War fanbase will not want to miss this one!

NWA Irelands Fergal Devitt will unfortunatly miss the rest of the NJPW Super Junior Tournament due to a combination of injury and illness. Fergal is expected to be released from hospital in Tokyo in upcoming days, and is determined to return to action as soon as he is physically possible. All at NWA Ireland wish him a speedy recovery and a swift return to action

    pretty unfortunate

Damn, what about his NWA title tournament commitments? Would have loved to see a Danielson vs. Devitt Semi-Final.

Crap, someone mentioned something to me yesterday about him saying on Bebo that he suffered a concussion and broke his leg I think. I was still holding out for it not to be serious. I've become a big fan of his recently, seen a good bit of his stuff from Japan. And he was being tipped by some to win the Super Junior Tournament aswell.... Hope he's back to full health as quickly as possible

ALSO DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT FFPW - WIRED 14 ON SUNDAY JULY 1st AT THE FIGHT FACTORY IN BRAY

    FFPW Wired 14 report

The night kicked off with the arrogant Aguila Artois & Michael Winchester of The Regency Society demanding interview time to air they’re grievances with FFPW management & NWA Ireland matchmakers for not granting them a shot at Team Mega’s NWA Ireland tag team championships. They stated that since they know they are the best team in Ireland, that Wired 14 would be the night to prove it. The outcome of all this was that The Regency laid down an open challenge for a four team gauntlet, where the final team would be picked at random to face of against Aguila & Winchester should they survive. The match would take place later in the night

The first match of the evening contained one half of Wired 13’s main event, Sean South. In the main event of Wired 13, South wrestled Phil Boyd for the NWA Ireland heavyweight championship, the stipulation being that if South lost, he would have to start back at the bottom of the card & work his way to another title shot. South Opponent for this evening would be Evan Matthew Orson. After a solid back & forth encounter, South emerged victorious following a Straight South piledriver.

Following this, it was time for The Regency Society’s open challenge gauntlet. The first team representing PWU were Tucker & B Lyric, newcomers to FFPW. Though the two youngsters showed a lot of heart in their fight, they were quickly beaten by a vicious powerbomb by Winchester, assisted by an amazingly athletic dropkick by Aguila.
The next team to challenge The Regency Society were also Ulstermen representing PWU. Toxic & Damien Corvin would put up a very good fight against the Gentlemen Villains, but would also eventually fall, following a rear naked choke by Aguila.
The Final team would be picked by a wildcard drawing, that is, randomly chosen & anyone would be eligible, the first member of the team was Del PC. Certainly not a fan favourite by any standard. His partner could not be more different, The GlamRock Superstar Kev Rocks!!! Even though Rocks & PC don’t exactly get along, this was by far The Regency’s biggest challenge & they were almost beaten by the odd couple pairing following a double CTRL-ALT-DELETE on Aguila Artois. However The GRS & the Iron Nerd could not get along & The Regency capitolised. Gaining the win & the match with a neckbreaker from Winchester to Rocks & the ‘High Society’ moonsault from Aguila to Del. After the final pinfall, Kev Rocks & Del PC continued to argue. Rocks went to walk away & was nailed from behind with a CTRL-ALT-DELETE.

Next up was newly crowned CPW tag team champion ‘Awesome’ Andy Phoenix taking on Gary Cassidy in a special exhibition match. Cassidy was pumped up for this one & looked bigger & better than before he left for the USA last month to compete in NECW’s Iron 8 tournament. In the end, Phoenix would gain the victory following some timely cheating & his Phoenix Clutch submission hold.
Following the match, a strange event occurred. Gnarly Pete Hannigan stormed to ringside claiming he was ready to go & Gnarlier than ever. In a non match. Gary Cassidy laid out Gnarly Pete with a Crashidy.

The next match stemmed from The Regency’s gauntlet earlier in the evening. Del PC & Kev Rocks squared off in a grudge match that has been brewing for quite some time. After being dominated by the Iron Nerd for quite a large portion of the match , Kev Rocks was able to counter a CTRL-ALT-DELETE into a Glamrock Shock superkick for the pinfall.

The main event of the evening would be for the NWA Ireland tag team championships. Having gotten the attention of Team Mega with their gauntlet performance, The Regency Society were granted a title shot. Mega dominated the opening portion of the match up, with both Danny Butler & Justin Bred throwing around Aguila Artois around like a rag doll. The Regency would soon gain the advantage and set to picking apart Justin Bred. He would soon make the tag to Danny Butler & Mega would finish off the Regency Society following an unfortunate series of events, including Aguila accidentally headbutting his opponent & being pounced from the ring. The pinfall would be scored on Winchester as he fell to the Clean Liffey Plunge from Justin Bred.

We would like to remind our fans that the NWA Ireland 4th Anniversary show is just two weeks away, July 15th Ballywaltrim Community Centre, Oldcourt, Bray. We would also like to thank our fans for their continued support of the Wired series of shows.

    Quick results:
Sean South def Evan Matthew Orson
The Regency Society def Tucker & B Lyric, Toxic & Damien Corvin, and Del PC & Kev Rocks in a gauntlet match.
CPW Tag Team Champion Andy Phoenix def Gary Cassidy
    Kev Rocks Def. Del PC
NWA Ireland Tag Team Champions Team Mega def The Regency Society

If i recall correctly, the venue isn't that far a walk from Bray village (about 10 minutes), in which case you can get a 45 which will leave you at the quays.

When you come out to Vevay Road beside the pub, take a left and keep going and it should take you to the village. There might even be a 45 stop on the way there, it's been a while since I was out there though so my directions could be rusty.

You could get the Dart too, that'd be much quicker than the bus

Heres a more detailed report of NWA's IV Anniversary show!

The night kicked off with reprasentitives of NWA UK Hammerlock Danny Garnell & NWA UK Junior Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Junior demanding mic time to berate the Bray fans. Sabre informed the crowd that he was going to beat William Hawksworth tonight in a flag match, & that Garnell would be going home with Phil Boyd's NWA Ireland championship, thus proving that NWA UK Hammerlock produces better wrestlers than NWA Ireland. The two were cut off in mid speech by the returning Adam Abz who entered the building to a huge ovation, however Abz would soon reveal that he was in support of the British motives, the only thing he cared about that night was not politics, but fighting, as he came to the Anniversary show to fight to become the King Of Tradition. The three men left the ring together to a chorus of boo's.

The first bout of the evening pitted the 'Glam Rock Superstar' Kev Rocks against Gary Cassidy. The match was Controlled primarily by the more experienced Cassidy with Rocks getting very little in the way of offence. The tide of the match would soon turn however, and Rocks would counter a tornado ddt attempt into his signature Glam Rock Shock Superkick, that was all she wrote as Rocks picked up the win in his first Anniversary show appearance. Beginners luck possibly for Rocks, all that matters in the end is the win.

Neither of the next two combatants could hope to benefit from similar luck, as both were making their second Anniversary show appearance. Del PC faced off against Sean South in a hard hitting encounter. The Iron Nerd became infuriated by South's constant embarassment of him & showed a vicious streak in this hard hitting match, in the end, South would gain a victory following an atomic wedgie & a Straight South Piledriver.

The next encounter was a matter of national pride as Zack Sabre Junior, NWA UK Junior heavyweight champion, faced off on on one with William Douglas Hawksworth in a flag match. These two went at it tooth & nail in one of the hardest hitting matches in recent memory, battering each others bodies with kicks, chops, forearms, and any part of their body that could be used as an offensive weapon. In the end, Zabre would gain the victory having climbed the pole & retrieving St George's Cross. However, on this showing, Hawksworth is quite possibly a challenger to Sabre's junior heavyweight title in the near future.

'The Inve$tment' Ross Browne then hit the ring with a brief history lesson for all of the NWA Ireland fans in attendance, informing the fans on what Tradition means to everyone in the promotion, well, almost everyone. He was interrupted by Awesome Andy, Emperor AJ & Oscar Knight, who quickly offered their opinion on Browne's sentiments. They were adamant that Browne was outdated & he should step aside to make way for the new generation of NWA Ireland talent. Browne then promised that he & his team of Heavy D & Joey Cabray would beat some respect into these young upstarts. The match which ensued turned out to be total chaos with bodies flying everywhere in & out of the ring. Following a double team on Awesome Andy Phoenix, the team of traditionalists got the victory to a huge ovation.

The next encounter was also a tag team match, pitting the Regency Society of Aguila Artois & Michael W. Winchester against NWA Ireland's tag team champions Team Mega. In a top contender for match of the night, both teams pulled out all the stops in order to leave with 20lbs of gold. The Regency Society may be the best combination of power & agility in this country, but a series of miscues meant that the 'Gentlemen Villains' did not leave Ballywaltrim as champions, Aguila landed his patented 'High Society' moonsault directly on his partner, leading into not one but two Clean Liffey Plunges by Justin Bred on both of the Regency Society members. To the fans delight, Team Mega remained champions.

Adam Abz next hit the ring to face off with Paul Tracey for the rigt to be named 'King Of Tradition' a title which Abz had bestowed upon himself long ago. The match was an extremely technical affair, with Abz constantly using one of the simplest tools of the wrestling trade- the headlock. That coupled with some rather underhanded tactics meant that Abz was crowned the 'King Of Tradition.' Which somewhat inflated his ego, Abz immediately challenged Tracey to defend his British commonwealth title against the new 'King Of Tradition'

Adam Abz was pinned almost immediately by Tracey, following an arrogant missed elbow drop attempt which led into a pumphandle t bone suplex. Still your proud British Commonwealth Champion, Paul Tracey

In the main event of the evening, the NWA UK veteran Danny Garnell faced off with NWA Ireland Champion Phil 'The Thrill' Boyd in a no disqualification, no countout match for Boyd's NWA Ireland championship. In a 20minute brawl that went all over the arena, Boyd would survive being slammed on the hardwood floor, being hit with a ladder, being powerbombed into a ladder plus much more to finally overcome the experienced Garnell following his 'Thriller Driller' finisher.

That brought an end to NWA Ireland's best Anniversary show yet, the packed crowd didn't seem to want to leave & remained in the building long after the final bell had rung.
