Every time I fired my .22-250 I noticed a muzzle flash through the scope even at x32 mag. Then I was shooting beside my friend one day who said the muzzle flash of my rifle was putting him off!

So took a video and then a snapshot of the muzzle flash, didn't think it was gonna be like this!

Fook! What length barrel is on that? My .25-06 produces something similar, and have shot a short barrelled .300 win mag that singed grass halfway down the range, but that's awfully impressive for a .22-250.

just thought i'd lash up a photo of my guns, they are nothing compared to others that are in this thread but i love them none the less.
this rizzini was my first gun. i bought it second hand nine years ago and probably won't part with it for another nine

a couple of months ago i decided to get my first rifle, so i picked up this 20+ year old brno arms hornet from a local lad for 150 quid

and here it is after i stripped it down and painted it and freefloated the barrel, added a hawke panorama ev 4-12x50 IR, sun optics bipod, cheek riser pad and a neoprene sling.

i have to say i've caught the rifle bug, next on the list is a remmy 700 in .223 or .220 swift

    My new lightweight stalker! :D

    Tikka T3 Lite in 25-06
    Harris 9-13 swivel bi-pod
    Atec Maxim Moderator
DNZ one piece aluminium scope mount
    Kaps 2.5-10x50 illuminated scope

Using 85 grain nosler but may try out a few heavier rounds more suitable for deer shooting, 85 grain would be perfect for necking deer but that shot is not always available.

Will be changing the stock for a Pse carbon stock and probably lighten the trigger a bit.

Nice setup pat, have the same, i use the 85 grain btips as well savage round for necking, would also recomend the 100 grain btips if you went to chest a few animals as well.

An unissued M39 I picked up some years ago, 1944 Sako, beautiful dark blue, only a few dings. It shoots the Russian light ball 149 gr Factory 60 & Bulgarian heavy ball 182 gr quite well at 200 & 300 with the std open sights. I did have to put a tall front sight on as it was shooting quite high with the original. It seems to prefer the light ball.

So I picked up my new custom .243 from Fergal White's last friday, and did the barrel break in and zero'd it at 230 yards with 58gr superformance, and now that I've done all that I thought I'd stick up a couple of pics.
The spec of the rifle is a tikka action and trigger from my old .223, bartlein 25" 1:10 twist fluted light varmint barrel, pse stock glass bedded, karsten cheek piece, accushot monopod, Harris 9-13" swivel bipod, sako optilok mounts, nightforce nxs 8-32x56 and an ase northstar mod.
    Here's the pics.

    e758ece9.jpg
And this is the first group I shot with the 58gr superformance after breaking in the barrel. 3 shots Distance 120 yards, 7-10mph wind from 9o'clock, no rear bag rest. Group is 0.24" from centre to centre. I'm confident this rifle will do one hole groups with a rear bag

So picked up my new barrel last night from Fegal White.

I'm absolutely delighted with the work done, and finish of the barrel. Not least how it compliments the rifle. So here are a few pics.
