I have about a few hundred CallCards.

I've pick out the below as I think they should be worth something at least as they commemorate a moment in Ireland during the period.

Let me know if you think these might be of interest to anyone or if they have value:

Great Connaught Exhibition 1895 - Foxford Woollwn Mills 50 Units (1)
The Emigrans Leaving Home, the priest's Blessing 50 Units (1)
    USA World Cup '94 10 Units (1)
    Bloomsday 1997 100 Units (2)
Le Tour De France en Ireland 10 Units (2)
    An Garda Siochana '22 to '97 Units 50 (1)
Wexford Opera Festival / Rose of Tralee / Guinness 20 Units (1)
Presidency of the European Union Ireland '96 Units 50 (1)
The Late Late Show '62 to '99 Units 20 (2)

    Thank

    K

Yes, I am just looking for the value. I am not looking to sell. I would put them on adverts.ie if I wanted yo get money, but at the moment, I am just wondering if they have any value at all.

It's fine to ask as long it is to trade or swap,no buying or selling is permitted on this forum. If you want you can also place an advert for wanted items on www.adverts.ie and link it here on this thread.Moderator

Hi Danco. It's not the IMI with the magnetic strip, it's the one with the chip. I've put some up on adverts so if you're interested take a look. I'd be open to swapping as well but there's only a few I'd be after.

I've just listed an ad on adverts.ie for a large lot of used Callcards that includes many low issue cards:

Anyone know how much a "Dash" card is worth. They were a trial card issued by Eircom, Dublin Bus and Irish carparks all on the same card.

I would like to know this too. My dad (RIP) was a collector and i was living in dublin when these cards were issued (early-mid 90's AFAICR) I managed to get two of them for his collection. Both cards are mint and unused.

I have my dads collection, he worked for Telecom Eireann and so got many of the original test cards. I'd estimate that there is 500+ cards in the collection, many being mint in the wrapper.

I dont know if i'd have the heart to sell it though, but i suppose it depends on whats its worth...

There was a Telecom Eireann Callcard produced for the Kilmainham fair in 1993 which is valuable (it's a 5 unit card with a picture of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on it) but most of the other souvenir cards produced for fairs haven't held their value like that card has, mainly because they were BT cards which weren't as popular with collectors in Ireland and abroad.

Ooh oooh i think i have 2 or 3 of those in their wrapper...must dig them out!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 256 ✭✭ciarang85

How much would you ask the following 10 callcards? I have an offer in of €10 on adverts.ie http://www.adverts.ie/other-antiques-collectables/callcards/1274679 but feel the price is too low. How much do you think they are worth, all in excellent condition (I have two of the Eircom St Patrick's Festival 2000), one excellent & one is slighly bent. Thanks!

    UCD Belfield D4 16-27 August 1995 (50 unit)
Eircom Dublin Theatre Festival '99 - 4-16th Oct (20 unit)
    Eircom St Patrick's Festival 2000 16-19th March (10 unit)

€10 would be a great deal for those. This is My opinion but for the ones I've bolded above I'd be expecting at least €15 for those 4, if in good condition (Bloomsday sold recently on ebay for €6~ alone, classic Stationary is a rare enough card, so is the ESOP and those simply talk cards are common enough but still seem to go for a few euro, 2-3)
