Last year they put them on Sky Sports Mix because of COVID.
As everything was up in the air.

Sky's reasoning for GAA is as follows.
It's worth their while paying for the rights because enough people hold on to their sub during the summer, the soccer off season.

But since last year's championship was in winter, that buiness model was out the window, plus it was overlapping with the soccer season they had to put it on the mix channel.

The problem is not many Limerick or Cork fans can afford Sky. Pubs will be closed for indoor drinking and limited numbers will be allowed to attend. As a Limerick supporter I am eagerly looking forward to this game and I can't even watch it on TV.

The Now TV is savage value in fairness. I have it nearly 2 years and have never paid the full whack, if you don't renew they always come back with an offer. The Sky is a bit heavy on soccer whichI wouldn't really follow but great selecrion of Gaa, rugby, NFL etc

Well tough, but there is a TV deal, RTE just can't show whatever game they want, you could buy a sky sports pass for €10, the price of 2 pints

I bought the stick in Lidl at Christmas, e25 for the stick and a months free Sky movies and Sky sports.
So as well as the website check the likes of Lidl and they may have good offers.

Probably a stupid question but whats the benefit of the stick as opposed to just buying on the website and casting from phone/laptop which ive been doing for the past few years?

The stick is a device in itself, so just plug it into a HDMI port on a tv and off you go.
Plus it has other apps on it, YouTube, RTE Player, Virgin Media Player, All 4 player, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+.
So if you have a sub for any of those you can use the stick rather than their individual apps on a device.

The stick is a Roku stick branded by Now TV.
Roku were one of the first to bring out the idea of streaming devices that you connect to a TV, so they have a pretty good pedigree in that area.

Ok cheers. Usually just cast everything never really looked into these devices but sounds good, frees up the laptop and phone

What a treat it was to watch Tip v Cork in the U20 hurling from Thurles tonight.

Great first half from Tip but an outstanding second half from Cork.

3-20 v 2-17 Cork won

Leinster game on now, kilkenny v Galway,

RTE usually only had a single Saturday night game per round, whether that was football or hurling, so it was rarely more than 8 I'd say.

They were the third tier broadcaster, with Eir having multiple Saturday night games and TG4 having a live and a delayed game on Sunday.

Anybody know if the McKenna Cup games might be streamed live? It would be a brilliant development if they were. With Covid travelling to games isn’t so appealing but you’d be delighted to pay the few €/£ to watch them in the comfort of home. Hopefully!!

Can anyone help. I try watch gaa matchs on beosport on Internet. You pay 8 euros for match. But when it comes up on Internet the game only shows for 1 Min 40 sec than stops and screen comes up with message video could not load or timed out. And match action stops. You have to click on link again to start match. And again it is only live for 1 min 40 secs and breaks down again, and you repeat the process of clicking on link to start up action for another 1 min 40 seconds . Does anyone have any advice. Is there anyway to get match without constant breakdown. Do I need to download something else. Does anyone else have problems with Beosport. I hope that makes sense. Any advice I would be very grateful.

Sounds like you've been the victim of a scam site Sonny. I haven't seen any games from them for 8 quid unfortunately. Cheapest I have paid is a tenner for a club match.

There is a fake page doing the rounds on social media.
