Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

U2 Saturday, plan is to keep the booze on the low down but it's U2 in Croker Saturday evening so if I'm not there check the ditches round the park in case I decided to do a few miles on the way home!

No worries tunguska... it's only to be expected after a race, and a good time aswell... good going!

Pace will be slow enough. Planning on 8:00 to 9:00 mile pace. I think last week we averaged about 8:20 pace over the 15 miles. I made a mess of my watch, so not exactly sure. I wouldn't mind going a bit quicker, but probably wouldn't hold it for the full distance.

Distance is up to you. We'll be running laps, and the car park is central, so you can head back at any time and make it shorter or longer as you like. I may add a few miles to bring my weekly milage up, as I missed a run yesterday.

I'll point out that I am still considering but I'm meant to be heading out for my friends birthday tonight and I'm absolutely exhausted as it is so I might just leave my long run till tomorrow afternoon or evening. If I'm not there by 8(I have punctuality issues in that I always turn up WAY too early) then I won't be there at all. :D

Cheers. Might add a few miles on myself, my weekly mileage is shockingly low. maybe we could start off at 8min/mile pace for 2 miles then crank it up to 7mins/mile for 6 miles or so and then a couple more 8min/mile to finish off. But whatever the consensus is I'll go along with.

Anyway see you in the morning man.

Anywhere between 8:15 and 9 I would imagine, its kevinkilbanes last long run before Longford and I think he's more concerned about time on feet than speed. More the merrier

It's actually a perfect route for 10, the great thing with this route as it's so easy to add on the miles. 10 is the basic package :D you come out of Marlay after 1 lap and just head straight all the way back to mine to get your car. I pmd ultraman to tell him about the 5 minute rule, its simple if your not there at 7:30, we'll wait/stretch till 7:35 and then we're gone as you never know what last minute thing will pop up, so if you can't make it don't worry, we'll go on without. I'll pm you the start

Yeah, be about 11am before I get going though. Is that too late for you? I was planning on knocking out 20miles, 7:30/mile pace. My usual route is located in firhouse but im open to other circuits.

How far and how fast, i'm going to be doing a 10 on grass tomorrow morning with a few loops around hills nothing major , but pace will be 9:15 for the first 5-6 and then 5:45 for the last 4.

Edit, of course that should have been 8:45 unless i've gone thorugh some changes this week or grown 2 more legs.

WAAAYYYYY to fast for me. I'd be only holding you back.
I was thinking of doing the 10mile route in the park as a recon for next week at about 8:30 - 9 min/mile and then sticking on another 5mile.

christeb, Im racing twice next week so I've planned on my long run tomorrow, but I'll catch up on you between now and the DCM.

Will it be possible to run the circuit tomorrow? Will the Phoenix Park motor races close off some of the circuit?
I ran there last night and they seemed to be getting ready to shut down some of the Chesterfield Ave / Furze road / Ord Survey triangle.
