Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The thread merge didn't work. While the other thread was a mess from early on, this one wasn't too bad.

    Again, not naming names, the 'poor me I'm from a bad area and never had a chance' whinge certainly doesn't apply in the case of a number of the recently mentioned gentlemen. A number of the already deceased lads could possibly have played that card, but not the little 'big man'.

    Ok.....

    So can an Admin or Mod explain how a thread about a of bunch of teenage pricks, acting the prick....got merged into a thread about people, and many people, being murdered in a gangland style vengeance type killing?

    How did the person that merged those threads think it was a suitable link up?

    What reason is there to merge the two threads?

    Boards.ie need to do some serious looking at their Mods if they think it's ok to throw all this **** in one basket.

    I work for a water leak detection & pipe tracing business that's subbed in to Irish Water as part of the First free fix scheme and I was working at that house between 3:30 & 5:30 pm constantly going in & out from the meter on the footpath to the front door trying to locate a leak.

    unarmed gardai in marked patrol cars patrol every area involved in feuds and every other area,

    armed ARU units are used when available, think there is one north side and one south side most of the time

    Loads of Garda and ambulances and fire brigade traffic around Balgriffin this evening, heading towards the halting site. I expected to hear something about it by now. It may have just been a traffic accident, but I'm still hearing the occasional siren.

    They have also received intelligence the gunman has been "boasting" about the murder, claiming that even if he is caught, he believes he "will only serve 10 years".


    This is extremely telling of where the mentality of these guys are.

    She was in the Sunday World saying "they're just kids" they were in their 20's ffs, I know she's lost her son so I'm not critical of her, but at the same time you have to wonder how much their families know and reap the benefits of their activities.
