The Bridge in Chapelizod is getting a bit of work done on it now, it's going to be another Ozzie Outback.

Is the Deadmans Inn back open?

Looks like the bridge inn is an Aussie themed bar rather than Ozzie Outback. Reopened a few days ago.

Deadmans has been open a while now,no idea how it's doing though, its location does it no favours.

Anyone know what's happening with the Porterhouse North? Load of scaffolding around it, assuming its a refurbishment?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Just a face lift AFAIK. Badly needed it too.

Pretty much. If it re-opens I expect it'll be as something else.

I was in for a few minutes but I wasn't eating or drinking. It looks nice and I'll call in for a better look in the next week or so. There appeared to be a Trouble Brewing tap at the bar :)

Called in last night. Food is good; it's better standards than usual pub grub.

Beer wise we are looking at a draught choice of Kelly's cider, Five Lamp, Mont Wicklow Pilsner and a Trouble Brewing rotation tap. There's a De brun house lager, whatever it may be. Bottle fans have loads of Trouble Brewing; Five Lamps's lager, Liberties Ale, Black Pitts Porter, Honor Bright; Galway Hooker Stout and Lager; and Bo Bristle Stout, Pilsner and Pale Ale.

Anyone been in the new Bru house in Fairview?

Anyone been in the new Bru house in Fairview?

yeah, was in on a Saturday evening about 2 weeks ago.

got there about 6.30 and it was busy, mostly couples and small groups getting food.

I left at about 7.30 to go to a match in Tolka Park, then went back in afterwards, about 10ish, and it was standing room only.

Their own beers are very "safe" as craft goes, but drinkable enough - they also have a few other specials rotating on other taps.

Seems to be getting pretty well received by the locals, which is great to see.

I thought the food was really terrible. It might take them a bit longer to get their kitchen in order.

Agree on their own brews. Very standard. Almost like Macros IMO.

Bolands in Stillorgan was sold last week. Anyone know who bought it?

Addison Lodge is still open by the looks of it and Mother Kellys must be reopening soon as 74 The Talbot, they've even appeared to have given themselves a James Joyce pub award before they've even opened which is nice of them. :D

400 quid plus shipping. Also shows they've never read Joyce as he wasn't that complimentary of most pubs except Davy Byrnes!
