Esp on FB, which is the Irish connection to this of course having its EU Hq in Dublin. The Deutsche Jagd Verband[DJV] is the equivalency of our NARGC in the proportionate representation of size and finances...Yet they punch well above their weight class and have done so since the early 80s, despite hunting being a minority lifestyle choice in Germany.
Pass this on,it will eventually land in some Antis newsfeed here and might start giving them pause for thought.

    * GERMANY TACKLES HUNTER ABUSE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
In Germany, insults and abusive language on social media following a female hunter’s Facebook post led to severe consequences under criminal and civil law and more than 50 convictions.
Anyone on social media knows that verbal derailments have become the norm rather than the exception. Factual presentation of dissenting opinions is more often than not replaced by insults, cursing and threats of harm. But, in Germany at least, the Internet is no longer a legal vacuum—there, Web posters don’t have to put up with online abuse anymore.
A female hunter who calls herself Waidfräulein, “young lady of the forest,” posted the story and a photo of a successful late-winter fox hunt on Facebook in March 2018. Within a few hours, it had attracted more than 2,000 hateful comments and insults.
Waidfräulein didn’t take the mostly anonymous insults lying down. Assisted by the DJV, the Deutscher Jagdverband, German Hunting Association, and lawyer Dr. Heiko Granzin, she took legal action. Apart from the consequences under German law, she filed for damages and injunctive relief.
A particular hurdle had to be overcome in the process. German law aside, the European headquarters of Facebook are in Dublin, and only Ireland’s public prosecutor’s office can demand IP addresses and names in the course of a criminal investigation into Facebook. As it happened, the Irish prosecutor took the matter seriously and did seek the names and IP addresses of the offenders, some of whom posted under pseudonyms.
German media, including the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, BILD-Zeitung, Der Spiegel and others, reported extensively on the matter. And now, two and a half years later, Waidfräulein’s case has come to a close and the people who used abusive language must pay. “In addition to declarations of cease and desist, there were over a dozen criminal and civil convictions,” said the German Hunting Association. (Further proceedings are ongoing.)
The legal consequences in more than 50 cases included, among other things, penalty orders, judgments, compensation for pain and suffering, and cease and desist statements. Hate commentators will pay heavy fines and costs. One guilty party, who used a derogatory term for the female sexual organ, has to fork out €3,800 ($4,675) in court costs, legal expenses and compensation. Derogatory terms like Miststück (loosely, bitch) and Abschaum (scum) earned abusers penalties of €3,300 each. Others have to make payments of between €1,000 and €2,000.
Last June, the German Bundestag (parliament) passed a law against right-wing extremism and hate crimes; insults on social media will be punished severely—including imprisonment of up to two years. “We advise all hunters affected by Internet hate speech: Secure evidence and report it,” said DJV President Volker Böhning. “It takes a lot of patience, but Internet criminals have to learn that the Web is not a legal vacuum.”
Dr. Heiko Granzin, a specialist in hunting and agricultural law, has represented victims of cybercrime for years. He says that calling a hunter “sick” or an “impulsive murderer” is not covered by normal freedom of expression and that threats to life and health are criminal offenses that will prompt the public prosecutor to intervene.
Meticulous evidence is important, Granzin added. This means taking screenshots of the offensive posts and securing the context of the discussion and the perpetrator’s profile (try to verify whether it is real or fake). Proceed like a detective—save all the perpetrator’s entries and search the Internet for email addresses, photos, place of employment and residence and the like. Many particularly active hunting opponents can be found on certain forums and the websites of anti-hunting organizations. In case of a criminal offense or threat, such as a post that a hunter “should be killed,” file a complaint with the police. Even those who “like” such a post are acting illegally. Often, both civil and criminal laws are being broken.
To return to Waidfräulein’s fox hunting: Foxes have multiplied in Germany—today there are twice as many as there were 20 years ago. High fox densities can lead to outbreaks of wildlife disease and to a lethal infectious disease in humans caused by the larval form of the tapeworm E. multilocularis. As well, ground-breeding birds like partridge, lapwing and others suffer high predation by foxes. Across much of Europe, legal, managed fox hunting reduces predation and contributes to wildlife conservation and disease prevention.

Sidney Powell after ranting on TV about election fraud, making all sorts of crazy claims, while she was suing to overturn the election. Has now tried to say she wasn’t to be taken seriously. :pac:
Pretty pathetic defence imo. Undermines her credibility entirely, while also alienating Trump’s team and the republicans that supported her.
A key member of the legal team that sought to steal the 2020 election for Donald Trump is defending herself against a billion-dollar defamation lawsuit by arguing that “no reasonable person” could have mistaken her wild claims about election fraud last November as statements of fact.

That was sticking out like a whats-it in a convent, that Bidens policy on the border was going to fail. 100,000 a month arriving from south America its claimed, so you can probably multiply that by 2. Have the Dems closed the border camps they were so outraged by before the election ?

I hear Biden wants to use an executive order to implement a gun ban after the shootings of the Asian women in the massage parlours in colorado.
Biden wants to ban ar15's and tells people if they want to protect themselves, to buy a shotgun. But it seems more people are killed with shotguns than ar's. So he has it backwards.

Dublin Live reporting that a drugs cash and guns seizure during a house search in Ashbourne. Garda posted a picture. I think they have an ASG SSG 69 Airsoft rifle there. I used to have that same type. Pic rail with sling loop out front, pressed sheet metal tube foe the spring inside the 'bolt' oddly placed mag well right under the stock. Can't comment on the pistol that looks like a movie prop from The Patriot ;)

What's more unless they chrono'd that airsoft rifle, and proved its over 1 joule, then its not a firearm its a toy. Well sorry RIF (real imitation firearm)

On a more serious note, this is actually a serious issue. It's making it seem like criminals are 'snipers' which then puts more negative public focus on rifles not just sawn off shotguns or pistols anymore. It's ooh we got a scary black rifle off the streets.

Show the drugs and the money but faking a gun bust is unfair to all legal, safe, registered and law abiding firearms owners.

I anyone who hunts with Dogs understands how incredible their detection is.

    Dogs can help disease diagnosis

Dogs are most famously known for detecting cancer. They can be trained to sniff out a variety of types including skin cancer, breast cancer and bladder cancer using samples from known cancer patients and people without cancer.

In a 2006 study, five dogs were trained to detect cancer based on breath samples. Once trained, the dogs were able to detect breast cancer with 88 percent accuracy, and lung cancer with 99 percent accuracy. They could do this across all four stages of the diseases. More recently, a study has even shown that dogs can use their highly evolved sense of smell to pick out blood samples from people with cancer with almost 97 percent accuracy.

I know it's an offence to be brandishing those in public but if they happen to be sitting in a house with weed/cash, it's not a criminal act to have them. The Gardaí were as well put a Nerf gun in the pic. It's childish, misleading and possibly a display of incompetence at worst. I'm normally a fan of the boys in blue but this crap is silly.

Our friend Hunter Biden is in trouble again...
This time with guns and being utterly careless with such. Although from 2018,its rather poignant considering his ol dad wants to ban US citizens from owning such types of guns, and Hunter with his drug use is unfit to own one then and now, under the form 4473 which specifically asks Are you a user of controlled substances? Intresting that it is always the elites that excuse themselves from such laws that they deny the people they control.

For those who are following the bumpstock saga in the US
The US courts say they are not machine guns...Was almost predictable this win it was so sloppy a case.

VICTORY: Court Rules a Bump Stock is NOT a Machine Gun

Springfield, VA – Today, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit reversed the district court’s decision, which had denied GOA’s motion for a preliminary injunction on bump stocks. Gun Owners of America is seeking an injunction to prevent ATF from implementing a final rule incorrectly classifying bump stocks as machineguns under federal law.

This case was brought by Gun Owners of America (GOA), Gun Owners Foundation (GOF), the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL), Matt Watkins, Tim Harmsen of the Military Arms Channel, and GOA’s Texas Director, Rachel Malone.

“Today’s court decision is great news and told gun owners what they already knew,” said GOA Senior Vice President Erich Pratt. “We are glad the court applied the statute accurately, and struck down the ATF’s illegal overreach and infringement of gun owners’ rights.”

In a clinical setting, of course not. They are not going to replace blood tests and imagine. However that isn't the intended use. Detection is used for screening large populations. I've no idea how far the research is from implimentation, probably quite dome way. But the idea would be using such dogs to screen 1000s of people a day, who are going about their lives. Similar to how drugs/bomb detection dogs make sweeps.
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm sure many of us have lost a loved one because they had cancer that went undetected for too long.

Pretty sure that certain airports in the US were also using dogs to screen for coronavirus. Impressive if the pooches could do that with accuracy.

Good results for gunowners. Not because most want a bump stock, but because the ATF are the like take a step back and refocus on bump stocks, rather then go after the next item on the list.

Didn't see the details of the case. So not aware of how sloppy it as put together.
I would have thought this wasn't a difficult case to win*. Incompetence on their behalf bodes well.

*Although I'm not across the arguments, so may be off.

I am going to be honest, i thought bumpstocks were the stupidist thing i ever seen on a firearm. The sort of thing you would buy because they were cheap, have an hour or two messing around on the range with, and consign it to the back of the cabinet to gather dust. Thats not to say of course that the ATF should be meddling in their ownership of course, they should not.

Similarly, I've no interest in owning one, but would gladly spend a few hours testing one out. I see them as quite a clever piece of engineering. Probably not robust enough for high volume use. But fun for a few hours.

But it does make you question where the line is. What if a manufacture, made a robust bump firing mechanism, integrated to the rifle from day one. What sort of rifle is that? Would likely vary depending on jurisdiction.

Speak for yourself first...;) And I'll do as I please as I am not beholden to the likes of you.:)
You of all people complaining about double standards is pretty funny. Biden referred to a actual medical research. That is factual.

Rightttt.Must ask next time when I'm in the Oncology dept why they dont have some mutt sniffing everyone for cancer...If it is so simple and proven to work..
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Trump made up nonsense, and IIRC didn't he, and posters here, claim afterwards that he was making a joke?

Cant say about others and am not going to go research the whole thread again, but do try and quote him properly ? It actually was BIDEN who started the drink bleach idiocy in one of his snarky comments

"And when it comes to COVID-19, after months of doing nothing, other than predicting the virus would disappear, or maybe if you drank bleach you may be okay, Trump has simply given up, Scranton July 9th 20

What Trump said. Please point out anywhere there is a mention of drinking any sort of disinfectant in there?

A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light,* and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?
"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

*photodynamic light therapy is also a thing, but about as proven in effectiveness as cancer sniffing dogs.

Sloppy in the sense and broadly speaking ATF does not get to designate what a machine gun is in law without Congressional approval of that definition.
This was an actual bit of feel good legislation and sop pulled by Trump post the Vegas shooting. The Dems wanted a ban on everything [as usual],so this was offered up as they were apparently used in the shooting... ATF declared them "machine guns" and were well in the know that they were on very thin legal ice doing so,and have now fallen thru it.

ATF is actually an organisation in a crisis...And they are trying to justify their budget and existence [again], and have been doing so since Waco.
As there aren't many bootleggers and rum runners about anymore the alcohol side of things is slow, ditto explosives, tobacco ...not much happening there, so firearms are the only thing left, and why do they need billions to harass the law-abiding?

You have now got them arresting and destroying peoples lives who own and produce novelty items like the "lightning link" keycard. A flat bit of metal with an outline of the OLD lightning link that turned 1970s era AR15s into full auto fire rifles or the plastic" Portable wall hanger" that looks like an AR15/full auto link piece and "could be" used as such.

The arm brace/buttstock story,The Tommy Tactical G36,the "dimpled replica Colt XM177 receivers, according to them that's enough "intent to drill the 3rd hole in the receiver for full auto parts" Ditto the "dimpled AK style "receivers and guns.
Claiming intent that if you have a copy of a DIY STEN gun book and a bit of straight exhaust pipe ANYWHERE on your property that's INTENT to build a full auto STEN, even if you don't have, never had, or intended to own a STEN parts kit. This last one was thankfully thrown out as ridiculous in the 1980s, but having the book, parts kit and pipe is still considered "intent to manufacture"

And let's not mention involvement with operation Fast&furious and goon squading gun dealers along the US /Mexican border towns to supply narco gangs with illegal weapons...

In short, they are really looking for work, and ever since the fiascos of Ruby ridge and Waco, the IRS is probably more popular than ATF,and have some justification to exist.

I read that the ship carries about 20,000 containers so they act as a big sail to catch the wind. And once something that size starts moving it's very hard to stop it.

    Thanks for that Grizz.

About the EU commission "They have their agenda and facts do not matter", also "They want to make shooting so expensive as to be impractical".

There it is in a nut shell. This is their way of banning shooting after terrorist attacks, via the backdoor..

Farage was right when he said the chilling thing about the eu, apart from being undemocratic, was if they failed in getting what they want, they would regroup and get what they want another way. Completely unscrupulous and ruthless .

    Hardly surprising when you have an organisation that was;
Conceived by Communists, and Nazism, Brought into life by Ex Nazis in the 1950s,has been steadily eroding personal and national identities into a grey drab mass of "Europeans" run by a disgusting mix of Socialism and Fascism and is now virtually the "Peoples Republic of China lite".
[No doubt they are looking at social scoring along with your Vax passport]

So of course they don't want us proles armed and have stated so,if you read the opening paragraphs of the EU assault rifle ban,[along with the UN and WHO].
Guess some of us,[esp folks like Tomaz who lived with a Communist jackboot on his neck growing up] are not going to roll over for our EU Soviet overlords to kick about that easily .
