Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd keep her as original as possible, I'd keep the A7.

That Alfa is beautiful. So great to see a good colour on a car in a sea of white/black/grey.

Misano Blue with yellow calipers was pretty much my only requirement when looking for one in the UK. Been mad for one for the last two years or so.

I'd actually booked my VRT appointment last year before actually buying a car.

Congrats for owning one ! Hoping to get one at some stage too. Used to have back in days 04 156 ti sw and loved it.

    Beautiful.
If I could afford to buy into the age and segment, I think I'd be right on that Alfa!

It was some very nice sunset last Friday in Dublin, so I pulled over in one of the industrial estates just to snap a pic :D

Out of winter hibernation and what a cracking weekend for it. Gave it a good wash, paid way too much for a beer mat size piece of paper but what can you do. Early morning coffee spin this morning at it may as well have been PCH in California, it was stunning along the coast and all within my 5k

Agreed 100%, that Alfa is stunning looking and so nice to see such a different colour (which really suits it by the way) to what pretty much every other car out there is, too.

I would too, but I'd move the badge to the correct side! Well wear, Kaiser, that A7 looks like a real beauty!

Cheers. She is that! :) Getting a few looks locally too I've noticed :p They're rarer than the A6 anyway, but not many of them around here.

Yep, I'll move the A7 badge to the correct side then.. did these just have TDI badges or had they moved to that silly 50/55 TDI convention by then (I'm thinking 3.0 TDI like my A6 would be best?)

Cracking car madness. A dying breed, and a proper hot hatch. They don't make them like that anymore, you'd be mad to get rid of that I reckon.

I’ll be holding on to it as long as I can, it’s a fantastic mad little thing.

Honestly, it doesn't really bother me. At the end of the day it's a daily driver and it's going to take some abuse, it has two small door dents already from our work neighbours in the gym

Got 4 new tyres and a set of alloys for the Levin. The old Advan RG2's were starting to peel and some asshole stopped in the middle of the road about 2 years ago after a blind corner and I jammed the brakes and slid slightly into the kerb so one alloy is kerbed. The old picture below is a old pic so alloys didn't look as good as they do in that pic. The old wheels were 195/45/16 and I decided to go down to 15's for the new set.

I have it a long time, coming up to 4 years ownership in early May. It's the longest car I ever owned. It's also the first car I ever changed a timing belt on. It's not actually that bad to do them but I wouldn't be rushing out to do another.

Ahh man a Levin. :) Haven't seen one in the flesh in ages. Always liked them.

I did similar Wotz. Have a set of OEM 16's that it came with, but years back got a set of Euro 15's which look identical(have a third set of US/EK9 R 15" rims for winter tyres. Cos I'm mad). Well our roads aren't nearly as smooth as Japanese roads and 15's gave me far more tyre choices and much cheaper for the same model tyres with it. Years back I was offered a set of Spoon wheels, but thought I'm not paying that, but looking back they were a bloody bargain...

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I hadn't either until yesterday which is a bit of a coincidence. Some guy was up in ticknock with one and a mountain bike. Looked well but didn't stop as I was with the girlfriend for a walk.

Was going to post a few snaps I got of my own but I realise this morning that she's standing in the background looking bored!

The Saab that I got as a trade in when selling the Tesla.
She's a lovely bus, 1.8T badged but it's actually a 2.0t. Surprised myself but this is the best vauxhall insignia I've ever driven :D

Have the NCT appointment this afternoon.

(EDIT: I should add that it came from another boardsie! First time I've "bought" a car from a boardsie and second one I've sold to a boardsie, that I didnt know beforehand anyway)

Sparco Assetto Gara? I'm so tempted to pick up a set in 16" for my mx5 ND. How do you find them? Also do you mind me asking where you bought them?

I'm looking about 750 sterling from wheelbase including Toyo TR1s... Probs get stung with import tax though
