Down 6/7 starters pretty weak for HEC away to Castres in fairness

gone to -10 now... i wouldnt be surprised if they ended up -14

Reckon -13/-14 probably a fair price alright.

Ospreys probably 7/8 points off on a fair game, the second string certainly 5 points worse.

Was bored at lunch so went into PP and did the following Hail Mary accum.......

    Castres - 10
    Glasgow -4
    Clermont -20
    Exeter +8
    Saracens -18
    Leinster +2
    Ulster -22
    Gloucester +1
    Leicester -12

All 10/11 so it pays around 336/1.

    A man can dream.......:)

    Leinster @ 10/11
    Handicap Betting(+2.0)

    Toulouse @ 1/200

    Leicester @ 1/10

    Ulster @ 1/100

    Saracens @ 1/25

    Clermont Auvergne @ 1/80

    Castres @ 10/11

basically two handicaps with a few bankers (i hope)

Leinster, Castres and Leicster by themselves bring it to 3.01/1......Ulster, Clermont and Saracens are all risk and no value :p

well the way im lookng at it is, hopefully, the only banana skin here is the Leinster bet.

I don't think the Ospreys bet is as clear cut as made out to be. Castres are without Tales, Martial and Forestier.

Glasgow have serious potential tomorrow. Cardiff pack has serious imbalance without Warburton. The backline looks fine but I worry about their forwards. Might back them -5.

    Sat 24/08/13 TO1 Stade Toulousain 40 - 3 Bayonne (37 win)

    Sat 14/09/13 TO1 Stade Toulousain 31 - 7 Biarritz (24 win)
    Sat 21/09/13 TO1 Stade Toulousain 26 - 9 Castres Olympique (17 win)
    Sat 05/10/13 TO1 Stade Toulousain 28 - 10 Stade Français (18 win)

    Sat 23/11/13 TO1 Stade Toulousain 14 - 3 US Oyonnax Rugby (11 win)

The Connacht +25 handicap looks about right, gonna wait till the Alt Handicaps are up and try get Connacht at +32 in an accy with few more teams..

Clermont -20, Saracens -18, Leicester -12, Edinburgh -1 and Exeter +8 look good to me but I'll have to wait to see the teams.

Thought about it a bit more and Glasgow -5 is just about right. Might place a bet on Castres -10.5 if I can get it at evens but I have definite reservations about them putting up a big score in the Heineken Cup. Ospreys still have Biggar, AWJ, Ryan Jones and Tipuric so I don't think the team will just roll over.

I'm waiting until they put up the bets for alternative handicap

I'd expect Castres to win but I wouldn't care to touch it beyond that. Ospreys have several injuries and the guys that are stepping in are going to be well up for it.

Castres are not a free flowing and try scoring side. If Ospreys can hang onto the ball, they can frustrate. That's still a good pack they've out.

Don't think that the Castres HC bet is a lock by any stretch of the imagination.

However, getting in early and getting 'free' points (i.e getting 10/11 on Castres -9 when if you wait 36 hours you can only get 10/11 on Castres -12) will make you money in the long run.

Jaysus, PP are taking their sweet time putting up the other bets for the matches...how long do they usually take?

Quins +5 evens or 2/1 to win could be a decent bet. Metro haven't exactly hammered teams at home this year and are without Sexton. Harlequins are a good away team and probably too well drilled to take a thrashing anyway. Metro team sheet is obviously still very good which is the only off putting part. Perhaps the most encouraging thing is Harlequins' 7 point loss away to Clermont.

Just so long as that Ospreys team is accurate...

I'd go the other way, I'd take Ospreys at +11, even with the teams named.

Happy days, second week in a row. Was going to have a punt on Toulouse to get more than 17.5 in the first half but after the Munster game decided to stay in the pub instead. :D

    Initial spreads for the weekend:

    Ulster -10
    Toulon -21
    Perpignan -2
    Clermont -7
    Leinster -10
    Toulouse -10
    Gloucester -13

I like the look of Ulster, Leinster and Gloucester. 21 points is a couple of points too many for Toulon.

OK, it's official, Perpignan are throwing the game.

    http://www.rugbyrama.fr/rugby/coupe-d-europe/2013-2014/usap-hook-charteris-et-duvenage-en-conges-examens-pour-lopez_sto4041483/story.shtml

"Perpignan have announced that James Hook, Luke Charteris and Dewaldt Duvenage are on leave this week."

Like, they're in the middle of an injury and suspension crisis and they send three of their key guys off on holidays? I know they have Top 14 games against Stade and Toulon coming up but still...

    Munster +2 looks nice

I couldn't resist and I've stuck half my weeks gambling budget on a Connacht win and a couple of Euros on the unlikely draw. :D

Have gone on an early accum this week of.....

    Leinster -10 @10/11
    Ulster -10 @10/11
    Munster scr @6/5
    Clermont -7 @10/11
    Gloucester -13 @10/11

Clermont one is the dodgy one for me in that but they should be ok. I'll do one or two more before the weekend but will be avoiding the Toulon spread and the Connacht match for definite!

connacht going from 25/1 to 4/1 doesn't present any value... but +11 could be a tight good one in an accum....

for some reason the munster USAP games not up on PP right now.... i think munster will be good value at about -5 for that one.

Leinster @ -11 is too risky i think.

I don't know, only 3 bookmakers have odds up on that game, totally reliant on starting lineups i'd imagine.
