Lesson learned for me definitely. Don't put a huge weighting on anything, even if you think it's a cinch!

I still live as I only went with Munster -12.5 in the 1st half. They still fail to convince and their handling today was truly awful. If it cheers anybody up, I took a woeful beating on Treviso vs Montpelier with all four bets losing. Still, there's Leinster to come....:D

A small 'chasing the losses' acca of Racing +1 and Exeter in the rugby and Denver, Kansas and Seattle in the NFL @3/1 to try and scrape through the weekend with some dignity

Yeah, always have to use bankroll management or you will loose in the long run.

    Ospreys vs Leinster

    Ospreys -9.5 in the 1st half 5/6
    Leinster -9.5 in the 1st half 5/6
More than 19.5 points in total 1st half 5/6

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

    Ospreys vs Leinster

    Ospreys o9.5 in the 1st half 5/6
    Leinster o9.5 in the 1st half 5/6
More than 19.5 points in total 1st half 5/6

is that what you mean? it gets confusing when you use - for over when talking about team totals

The old reliables let all of us down earlier, time to side with youth!

    Macken anytime 11/2

    Great price to be fair

    Ospreys vs Leinster

    Ospreys -9.5 in the 1st half 5/6 :(
    Leinster -9.5 in the 1st half 5/6 :)
More than 19.5 points in total 1st half 5/6 :(

That's it for my weekend but I'm still happy enough and my winnings from yesterday have been wisely spent elsewhere.

I'm not messing when I say I thought that Munster -8 was the best value bet I've ever seen

Just goes to show it really is a mugs game!

Despite my plan to quit for the weekend I went for Toulon to get more than 14.5 in the 1st Half today (34-0 HT) and this helped replenish some of my losses.

I'm now thinking of going for more than 18.5 total points in the 1st half in the Racing Metro game, and Racing to get more than 9.5 points and Clermont to get more than 10.5 points. It will either be a tight first half or high scoring but which?

Today I added some bets, here is the full list:

    Old Balance: 38.71 units

    - 4 units (10/11) Munster -8
    - 1.5 units (10/11) Exeter -7 :D
    - .5 units (10/11) Harlequins -10
    - .5 units (6/4) Perpignan to win
    - .5 units (~9/1) Munster, Leinster, Ulster, Castres and Racing to all win

    - 1.5 units (evens) Munster -9
    - .5 units (17/10) Simon Zebo to score a try in 80 mins
    - .5 units (17/10) Keith Earls to score a try in 80 mins
    - .25 units (8/1) Niall Ronan to score a try in 80 mins

Note: PP are refunding tryscorer bets if a forward scores the match's first try.

    New Balance: 28.96 units

    New Balance: 31.82 units

    Taxi for Thomond...

Any line on the Clermont match? The spread (-2) looks good based on Racing's sketchy form. I know Clermont haven't gotten off to the best of starts either but they'd a tough set of opening fixtures in fairness.

Clermont have their preferred back line together for the first Time (i think) this seaSon tonight .
Parra, James, nalaga, fofana, rougerie, sivivatu, byrne....

I think -2 is very generous.

Last year would have hurt immensely

No bother ;) Currently even for the weekend (thank you very much Munster and Quins  ) but wins for Seattle and Denver over in the States (apologies to you rugby only betting purists) will leave me 30 up, so c'mon Seahawks and Broncos!!

How are you going to make any money backing the Broncos?

You have them on the handicap?
