Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can really appreciate that. My cat was a wild cat when I got her, her mam was a street cat and had a litter.

My lady can still be suspicious but she's 90% a tame cat now apart from when she throws a strop 😆

I’m being bombarded by photos on WhatsApp by a friend from Switzerland who is on holiday in London, guys are in Camden in my favourite pub…. Delighted for them as they haven’t been away since 2019 as they had their first kid then, subsequently covid came so that ended ideas of getting away…..tinged with some jealousy though.

I got to see,and kiss, my children today.

Even though they supposedly didn't want me , they were overjoyed.

I remember going to a mechanic with a problem and boy did they see me coming! Charged me 900 euro to fix one issue, they ripped me off

So I decided to educate myself and there are fantastic people on YouTube for car repair.

My dashboard never turned off and the battery would run down in a few days. For a 3 euro pack of fuses I fixed this.

The fan belt chirped and squealed. I pay 30 euro a new one from a motor factor, you can get one from 20 euro on the internet but that is ok and I changed it and problem fixed.

Certainly I am not a trained mechanic but for simple stuff I saved hundreds of euro. All down to youtube. I even repaired a washing machine due to youtube.

oh - i didn't get the joke.. shouldn't it be something more neutral/general? ie: trans "gender", gender being either male/female.. whereas "slender" is a specific type of body shape.. thats why I didn't get it anyway.. didn't make sense to me.. but I get it now.. (googled it)

Was half humming and badly half singing a song. Then I randomly changed the dial on radio (old dial type radio) then turned it on.

It was the same song I was humming/singing a few seconds previously! What are the odds? Made me laugh anyway.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I found out that the little stray cat that I've been feeding has kittens in the haybarn next door. That explains why she's at my house three times a day. Clever little thing.

The coffee at Cork Coffee Roasters was really good today.

Also this week it was finally warm enough to comfortably play soccer in shorts and a t-shirt for the first time this year.

Yesterday was dog's first day back at daycare after his diagnosis, his spirits are so much higher and sleeping off the tiredness of catching up with his buds, instead of the horrible cancer exhaustion he was showing before he went back.

Th2 I can play "healing" music in the background and he'll take it all in as he's relaxed and healthy tired.

    They're well hidden behind bales.

I'm half afraid she's going to march them across the field to me one of these days. I don't mind feeding strays, but don't want a houseful of cats.

Pegging out some washing this am, spotted a juvenile fox sunbathing in next door's garden.

His/her coat is changing so I assume a few months old but moving well and smart enough to find houses that are empty for a while during a warmish day.

Th I think I've figured out where the food that went missing from the house went lol.

Browsing in a supermarket last night, out of the side of my eye I spotted yellow stickers and counted three sets of sausage burgers that were substantially marked down.

While I'm not a meat eater I like to have something meaty on sundays, so I bought them for that, 60c for the protene component of my sunday dinner. Th there was two pks left for ppl on a more restricted budget that I am.

I had a very amusing dream the other night that Ryan Tubridy released a Christmas charity song called "Ryan Tubridy comes smoking in for Xmas" with all proceeds going to Pavee Point. He performed the song on the Late Late Show while dancing moronically while the crowd were absolutely lapping it up and clapping along. It sounds utterly daft but I just snigger to myself when I think of the dream because it was so bizarre.

The river blackwater on the Waterford Cork border.

If you went down around the bend on the river in the pic you'd come to Youghal bridge.
