Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Avocados are a big hit in this house, making homemade chunky guacamole is a real doddle, miles better than shop bought stuff, and healthy.

Couple of ripe avocados, cut, stone removed and flesh scooped out then chop on s board until you have them almost the consistency of mashed banana with chunks in.

Roughly chop either a small red onion, or else a couple of scallions and mix with avocado flesh.

Handful of roughly chopped cherrry tomatoes, and throw them in the mix too.

Red jalapeno pepper sliced seeds kept in if you like heat, or remove them if you don't.

Good handful of corriander, stalks and all, diced and mixed with avocado.

Dash of salt and pepper, and I like to throw in a good pinch of garlic salt.

Mix everything together on a board using the knife to go through it, it should be lumpy and chunky but not overly so.

Lastly squeeze the juice of a ripe lime over everything, and enjoy with some tortilla chips.

Maybe - but where does stringent BS rules like this begin and end? The poster I quoted said he doesn't eat avocados, I don't either unless it's in guacamole.

I mean seriously, if someone questioned the value or use for an electronic device here, and a poster offered some advice on how to get the best out of it, would you direct them to the Android/TV/Audio/Computer/A.N other forum?

I seen numerous recipes on the instant pot thread also, and numerous hacks and uses for the 4k firesticks that were recently on sale - perhaps they should be shunted over to the Android forum?

I get tired with people - especially non moderators who just cannot resist trying to police threads with the above mentioned stringent BS above.

Providing someone with a quick and healthy use for a food substance, currently on offer that they said they never eat is within the spirit of a bargain alert thread FFS.

I tried it and found them inedible once they were thawed. The taste and texture changes, they were slimy and odd. Probably fine if you put them in a smoothie while they're still frozen, otherwise I wouldn't use them.

The avocados are surprisingly big size
The '1.5kg' oranges weighed 2.4kg on the accurate weighing scales.

The bigger the pack the better value ;)

Only loose are weighed, I think Aldis are 6 or 7 in a bag, but you could get either tiny ones or huge.

They are actually very tasty. Come from Dominicana which is considered in fruit world one of the best producer.

Not sure about the ones from Lidl, but could be the same.
