True but thats a self imposed artificial difficulty leveler. Like Nuzlocke's and the like. I do enjoy them and have frequently imposed restrictions to make things more challenging but the base game shouldnt be a cake walk.

There have been enough versions to not have to cater to 6 year olds who just spam tackle. Even create two difficulty levels maybe that you can choose from the start? I dunno. But there should be something.

I found the main story very easy, but the post-game Battle Tree I'm finding more enjoyably tough. I think part of the toughness is I'm still not 100% on the stat distributions of the new pokemon, so I'm not 100% on what I should use to attack what just yet.

Until Bank updates to let you used Sun and Moon with them, it's not possible to get one in the games.

Have spent a few days breeding stuff now, stupidly used the QR code thingy and got a Totodile in an inaccessible area so that was dumb.

Can't breed Grininja which when I thought about it makes sense as its a special/event Pokemon.

Team Skull worst villains ever, Jessie and James killed a Marowak in Yellow Team Skull are Vanilla Ice wannabes.

Anyone got a good method of leveling up? I've finished main game, caught all Tapu's and UB and now trying to complete the pokedex, it takes forever to level some of them up though.

Argos when it's in stock.

(Since buying a PS4 a couple of months ago I've noticed that Argos is always cheaper for games)

Argos and Smyths will usually be cheaper, but GameStop will nearly always have it in stock or will be getting another batch in the near future.

Is their something up with the GTS? In X,Y, AS and OR I never had any issue getting Pokémon that I needed but now I can't even get the other starters. My Deposited trades never go through (even at starter for starter) while all the Seek trades are looking for legendaries or Type: Null.

I had the same issue with getting the starters, I ended up getting a Primarina before a Poplio! :-/

It's like people haven't figured out breeding as I'd assumed that there would be loads of starter 4 starter trades. My Rowlet eventually went for a Litten after 4 days being on the GTS!

The GTS is a joke i don't even bother with it. All i see on there is requests for level 91-100 legendaries and unobtainable Pokémon like Kingdra even when searching for basic mons! Tssk. How many hours have you all put into your saves? Im on 122 hours now but ive barely touched it in over a week, definitely entering Pokémon fatigue!

The requests are silly, everyone wants Cosmog, I caught two ditto and have been breeding one of them with all the randoms I got through wonder trade haven't been able to get anything through gts not even a pikachu. It will be a week or so before anyone getting it on Sunday is at the level or stage for trading so hopefully there will be more up soon enough.

Weirdest ones I have to trade myself are Tepig and Dratini. You can catch Ditto up near the observatory, they're rare encounters.

I'm just waiting for the bank to open before I play it again. Going to try a red/blue no evolution run. Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Pikachu, Magikarp, and maybe something else cool but bad. Not evolve any of them and see how far I can get.

Need the bank first though so I can import them from ORAS or X/Y.

I'm open to suggestions on what my 6th could be. Any idea? As long as its from the original 151.

I managed to get three shinies the last few days. I got a shiny Ditto while chaining for a 4 IV one, and I got a shiny Grimer while chaining for the Black Sludge item. I also managed to hatch a shiny Litwick. Sadly they don't have great IVs so I won't be using them competitively.

The system of getting BP is a pain. That Battle Royal is rigged, I swear. :pac:

They've been rigged for years, loads of stories online of people getting hit with 3x Quick Claw Sheer Cold on the bounce

I finally won one you get two battle points, hardly seems worth the effort.

I spent ages trying to breed a Drampa with the right nature, must have filled 3 boxes. Got 2 shines from it though! First one was at the start and doesn't have great IVs, second one has 5 perfect IVs but not the way I would like them.

Ha he was one of my last to get aswel! Think slowking was the last. Really hope they bring out a national dex when they release the Pokemon Bank update, I highly doubt it though. Running out of things to do now at this stage.

News articles are saying the National Dex will be coming with the Bank update... so it'll take me a few minutes to get it completed thanks to my living dex!

Just finished the first trial and evolved my Abra. Kadabra has been nullified something fierce in this game. Doesn't learn any attack until level 21....I am glad I Googled that. Usually always use it but I'll change my party. Have a Growlithe, Pichu, Trumbeak, Butterfree & Dartrix, still undecided on this game though.

Dark types/moves are extremely common too now, but isn't there a TM it can learn, and it learns confusion at 16!

Currently on the 3rd island with Raichu, Decudieye, Growlithe, Gyarados (a magikarp called one in to help so I caught it

) Le Toucannon and Mudsdale.

I'm enjoying but there's some annoy features. There's way too much dialogue/scenes, just let me play. Most trainers have only 1 pokemon. I hate the ride pokemon. I miss the HMs on your own pokemon

Ending up getting one eventually. Would have thought offering Popplio for Litten would be quick enough but it took about a week. Rowlet took about an hour. I think Litten might have been the least picked starter. Started WonderTrading Cyndaquil once I got the Oval Charm and got a ton of Popplio and Rowlet but not a single Litten. I assumed Litten would have been the most popular choice.

You get more for winning the higher levels but it requires a lot of luck. I started one with Primarina. My opponents were Mega-Venasaur, Vikavolt and Blissey. All three targeted me first turn.

The Battle Tree is much better. 1 point per victory and 20 if you beat it for a total of 40 in probably an hour. Took a few failed attempts and swapping of party members before I got it and beat it with Primarina, Snorlax and Kartana. A Ferrotorn gave me a world a trouble on one of my failed attempts. I was doing hardly any damage while he had Leftovers and Ingrain getting back 95% of the damage I was doing no matter what move I hit. During my successful run, I almost threw the 3DS across the room thanks to a Thunder Wave/Roost spamming Dragonite. He used all ten Roost's before I could beat him.

I was chaining for an Eevee with the Hidden Ability Anticipation but got a nice surprise when a shiny Eevee appeared. I caught it and it looks like it could work in competitive battles. It's got 4 IVs and while it doesn't have perfect HP, it does say it's 'fantastic' which I believe is the next best thing. The downside is it's Jolly nature which isn't ideal, and also it doesn't have the hidden ability.

Still, I reckon I will try it out in a few online battles. I'm thinking for Jolly nature that Leafeon would be my best bet?

Some people are just insane. A lad on twitch was soft resetting the start of the game over and over for a Shiny Rowlett. Thats 1 in 4000 chance. Over 80 hours he was doing it. He finally got it on attempt number 1775 and I was watching the stream at the time. People kept telling him to just breed for it but he wouldn't listen. Real OCD stuff. Comittment too.....but mostly OCD.

Finished the elite 4 last night the end scene is ridiculously long my 3ds went dead so two hours of training and battle with the elite 4 wasted. Damn New 3ds Xl battery goes fast when flashing red.
