Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Skrill (physical Mastercard).

They have virtual Mastercard numbers also (haven't used them myself though).

I tried again this morning using TOR with the method mentioned previously and it worked. It didn't look for any Turkish number to validate anything this time and my Visa Card worked this time.

I'm thinking of setting this up per the op -is it still working for people or has the ship already sailed.

Still working for me. I used tor here - the VPN option never worked for some reason..

What about payment - are you using Revolut or an Irish credit card.

I was just billed for my first month and it was €5.05.

Your bank is ripping you off on the exchange rate!

With Revolut it's €4.78 for the middle Netflix package

In light of current account suspensions, I'd alight the loss in exchange rate for peace of mind at present.

Yes, but I had to switch to an Irish credit card and away from Revolut. Also had to wait a few days between the account suspension and reactivating as couldn't renew straight away even with an Irish card. FYI below
To update. I was with Netflix Turkey for past couple of months on premium package paying TRY 42/m but having cancelled my account the other night I today received a refund for TRY 84. Surprised both months were refunded as they only cancelled my account mid way through the second billing period.

Having failed the other night to renew my account via TOR with an AIB credit card I tried again this evening and surprisingly it worked this time round. Opted for standard package at TRY 30/m (got premium for first month at no additional cost). AIB charged an extortionate FX rate of 6.13496 so payment came to €4.89 (same payment on Revolut would have been €4.785) but still better than the Rip Of Republic price of €11.99 for same thing which I wouldn't have paid.

Will be interesting to see if they cancel my account in future since all I did was as told and renewed with a different credit card. Perhaps they're only closing accounts set up with Revolut for now.

I'll try this shortly. I've two Revolut card numbers so used the other one to get a free month with a new account. I'll try update my original account with an Irish card, see what the story is.

What account suspensions? I have had my Netflix paid in Mexican and recently in Turkish currency for dunno a couple of years now, no issues.

My Windscribe is looking for a fee to unlock Turkey for VPN. Do I have to pay or is there a way around this ?

    Thanks in advance.

Use tor with exit nodes set to {tr} - worked for me, no charge, just a tiny amount of effort needed.

I can't even sign into my Turkish Account using Tor with Turkey as location. I always get a network error message. If i change location to US or Ireland i can sign in no problems. Might just try another email and set up a new account.

Edit: Tried a different route and clicked to start a 30 day trial but since ive had this already they pushed me to the payment update page. Entered my Irish card and it was successful so my Turkish Account is back up and running. Wonder how long it will last.

Can confirm I let my Irish account expire fully and rejoined at Turkish prices with Avast VPN.

Also signed up to Turkish Youtube Premium.

I kept my existing youtube account no problem (I wasn't premium before though).

I followed the steps on hukd .

6 months into my Turkish sub, (think I was in Argentina the year before!), and I woke this morning to a Revolut notification that my payment had been reverted. Does this mean this months payment didn't go through then? Or a refund from Netflix?! My account is still working on my phone anyway!

Same thing happened to me. Have an older sub that's working ok though for the moment. They're having similar problems on hukd too

Have they banned Revolut as a payment method? I used to just create a new virtual card and sign up for the trial every few months when there's something I'd want to watch or I'd be away travelling with work. Won't accept any Revolut as payment at all now.

Back to torrents for me anyway, shows/films I'll actually watch.. Would rather put the money towards upgrading my NAS than paying for majority of rubbish on offer on Netflix.

I've signed up by reactivating an expired account using HolaVPN (you get 3 days free) -Turkey.

It took a few attempts as I kept getting a "error connection "

I tried Revolut but it asked for a mobile number to verify.

Used my Visa Card and hey presto it went through.

What I’ve noticed in previous payments, up to August this year all my payments on my turkey sub were showing up as “Netflix Amsterdam” however September and today’s one is just showing “Netflix”

I'm having the same problem and I have never signed up from another country, it was an Irish account but I stopped it a couple of years ago and tried to sign up again yesterday but it wouldn't let me. I even tried using PayPal to sign up through the Irish site and got the same error.

I had a 'delayed transaction' paying in TRY to Netflix Amsterdam on 6th October which subsequently went through on the 8th October with Revolut.

So still hanging in there :pac:

Is there somewhere or someone that this is explained better. Im thick sorry

    Edited the file C:\Users\Dulpit\Desktop\Tor Browser\Browser\TorBrowser\Data\Tor\torcc
The file was initially blank, added the line ExitNodes {tr} and saved.

I think that's an Revolut thing, my previous payments going back to ago at least 6 months were definitely showing as Netflix Amsterdam at the time, now all those exact same payments show on the app now just as Netflix

Amex international card, billed in €. The conversion isn't as as good as Revolut, but less hassle as I don't need to keep Revolut topped up.

Annual fee €100? Or is there a cheaper version?

Was the torcc file there already? Had you run Tor normally before changing the exit node? This creates the torcc file and adds certain info to it.

Go to wherever your tor was installed. For me, it was my desktop, but might be different. In the Tor Browser folder, open the Browser folder. In that folder, open the TorBrowser folder. In that folder, open the Data folder. And in that folder, open the Tor folder.

You should see a file called torcc. Right click and open with notepad. It's probably going to be an empty file, so just paste in ExitNodes {tr}. Save file and close it.

Once that's done, run tor browser and it should connect to sites as if you are in Turkey. It'll be slow, but should work for signing up for Netflix.

If your paying with revolut card and Netflix hasn't suspended your account yet, would it be a good idea to swap payment to an Irish debit card now in the hope that they'll leave those alone for a while yet

Set this up about a year ago with Revolut and it’s still working fine. My experience with these kinds of bargains is that you don’t change anything until it breaks, it just draws attention.

I did that, safer bet as it seems to be around revolut users.

Strange thing happened this morning. Netflix was prompting me to restart my membership, and I couldn't watch anything. I was in the middle of my month's subscription, having last been billed on 30 August, so there should be another two weeks left. Maybe they detected that I'm not in Turkey?

Anyway, on with the Turkish VPN again to restart my membership, but after entering my credit card details I reached the mobile number step. I was able to skip it back in July, but couldn't this time. So I restarted the process, entered my card details again and then disconnected my VPN before submitting and getting through to the mobile number page, in the hope that that it would ask for a local number instead of a Turkish one. Unfortunately this didn't work, and my card was billed in euros when I submitted, even though the page showed Turkish lira.

Hopefully Netflix isn't cracking down on this and I will have better luck next month.
Well a month has passed since I was forced off the Turkish sub, so I thought I'd give it another shot now.

They had my Revolut card saved in the system from last month, when I renewed with the regular price. But after reading so many posts here about problems with Revolut I figured I would try my AIB credit card to avoid any issues.

I chose which package I wanted and entered my AIB card details on the next page. After submitting the form I got a message saying, "There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use." Tried again, but the same result. So I tried my Curve card, and got the same message. Tried a card that I have from a European bank - same story. And I tried a different Revolut card - again with the same error message.

At that point I closed the browser, and after a minute decided to try again, but just using the Revolut card that was already saved in the system from last month. It worked! It asked me to confirm my phone number, but the field was pre-filled with my non-Turkish number, and it didn't force me to change it.

    Back in business.
