Revolut card could be region locked if you are a new user, check the settings on the Revolut app
Virtual card and physical card are both the same btw

Using Revolut exchange at the weekend also costs slightly more, I think it’s 1.5% of a higher rate to cover themselves while the banks are closed

@OmegaGene no mention of region locking on the app that I can see
Didn't know about the wkend charge for revoult but as nothing is being charged for a month it doesn't matter for this particular transaction

tried a different email address and now it says
There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use.
    tried two different credit cards

The comment about the extra charge at the weekend wasn’t for you directly, I just thought of it as I was about to buy 5k of sterling but I will wait a few days for the better rate
Worth a mention as some people may not realise

As for region locking it comes under card security so select card and then security and it will be there under location based security, this should be set to off and also online transactions should be turned on

Your payment issue is something else if two cards have been declined, best to delete history and cookies or use incognito mode and start again

sorry to derail the thread a bit but I signed up with getflix (lifetime vpn offer) after seeing it on here. i've used the mexico netflix to restart my account at the cheaper price. most of the time it works fine but on occasion i get the "this site can't be reached" error and when I do a diagnostics it says my connection is fine and the problem is with netflix. i can get into nearly all other websites fine but ones like amazon and sky also come up with the same error. i'm pretty sure its to do with the vpn but not sure what is happening exactly! it seems to rectify itself after a while but i'm wondering does anyone know what is going on with it?!
    thanks

You don't need to use a VPN to watch anything, it's only for signing up. Just log into Netflix as normal.

Sorry if asked a lot, but is there a way to change the country of Netflix account, and get charged in that new currency, without closing account and reopening it?

No you either have to set up a new account or cancel and re-subscribe

Yes as above just cancel and wait til the month is over and then log into Turkey netflix through VPN and order agin using same account. Wait a couple of hours after the month runs out(And remember to use which ever country you are subscribed to at the minute time zone, as I was with Mexico so it was not midnight here when it ran out it was a couple of hours later into the next day due to different time zones). I do not know if you have to wait a couple of hours I did anyway just to be safe.

Get a vpn and select the country you want
    Sign up for Netflix account
    Delete vpn
    Sign on to Netflix
    Done

Price varies depending on the plan you select and country you select
