mehhh!!!

simple thing, looked at a list of the events for the year. there is wayyyyy to much in there, it was nice and simple before, very easy to navigate. as you scroll down it now at best you can see 3 maybe 4 events on the screen together, you could nearly see the full list before.

this is not a European tour thing.... all website have gone this way, trying to do to much. keep it simple please

Ya there's still a lot of teething issues it seems.

Results for all tournaments are fine from what I can see

In some categories for stats there are players not there i.e McIlroy for driving distance and yet he's there for other categories.

Some list him as having 30 rounds and the Driving Distance thing I think is minimum 25 rounds to be played, so I'm not sure why he isn't there (should be in 2nd currently)

In work we use a scraper from European Tour's API and it has him having 24 rounds played!

He's awful, even worse than Hatton. The way Sky fawn over him is nauseating too.

Another win for Wiesberger, you'd surely have to fancy him to make the Ryder cup team at this stage. Three wins since he came back from injury at the start of the year.

No idea why he retired. He was going to miss the cut regardless. Gavin's next tournament will be the European Tour Q-School Final Stage at Lumine in Spain, starting on November 16th, in that 108 hole, 6 round marathon. He successfully got his playing privileges for the European Tour, via Q-School in the last 2 years. Here's hoping he will do so again.

Paul Dunne will be joining him, he's going down in flames in Portugal. Great start today with birdies on 2 and 3, then bogied the 9th and managed a triple bogey 8 on the par 5 12th. Is now three shots outside the projected cut with 6 holes to play.

Manassero propping up the leaderboard on +14, 4 shots worse off than Michael Campbell who's been all but retired for a decade. Some fall from grace for Manassero considering how good he was at 17 (currently world number 1180). He's still only 26 though which I find hard to believe, seems to have been around forever.

Just saw Paddy had a 10 on the par 5 4th hole and is currently last... ouch!

Also Lowry had a very make-able birdie putt on the same hole from about 4ft and didn't even come close to hitting the hole. Horrible putt.

His second miss from inside 3 feet. The greens aren't great but both just looked like mis-reads.

In Spain, the 2nd stage of European Tour Q-School is underway in 4 venues and I have got some good news to report in Las Colinas and Club de Bonmont in particular.

At Las Colinas, Naas' Conor O'Rourke is the outright leader after a bogey-free round of 7 under 64. O'Rourke carded 5 birdies and an eagle and 12 pars in a hugely impressive start from the Naas professional. Other Irish scores there included Michael Hoey 1 under 70, tied for 40th and JR Galbriath on 1 over, tied for 56th.

At Club de Bonmont, Tramore's Robin Dawson shares the first round with Italy's Aron Zemmer on five under par rounds of 67. Dawson carded 1 eagle 5 birdies and 2 bogeys in tricky conditions in Tarragona today. Clondeboye's Jonathan Caldwell is also right in the mix after a 2 under score of 70, tied for seventh. Tyler Hogarty is on one over and Ruairdhri McGee at 2 over.

At Desert Springs, Ireland's only representative there David Carey shot a very disappointing 4 over round of 76, to finish round one well off the pace.

Finally at Alenda GC, Niall Kearney shot a 1 under round of 71, tied for 20th. Daniel Brennan at 2 over, Galway Amateur Ronan Mullarney at 5 over and Luke Donnelly at 7 over, have some work to do, if they are to mount a competitive challenge to finish no lower than 20th, that would secure a European Tour Q-School Final Stage berth, which starts tomorrow week.

So overall a decent start from the Irish at Q-School. At this stage the top 17 or 18 (at least), in each of the 4 venues, will secure a place in the final stage, to take place once again in Lumine GC. I will give you a further update tomorrow. It appears that there will be some windy conditions expected over the next few days in Spain. Round 1 in the books, another 54 holes to go.

Meanwhile in the Challenge Tour Grand Final 1st Round in Mallorca, Ardglass' Cormac Sharvin finished the day at 2 over, tied 15th. Sharvin who started the week in 9th, in the Challenge Tour rankings, good enough to take one of the 15 cards available to secure a full European Tour card for the 2019/2020 season, is projected to be in 12th after the conclusion of round one. In very testing conditions in Mallorca, the leader is Francesco Laporta from Italy on 3 under, who also is projected to lead the Challenge Tour rankings also. Winds of 25 mph plus, are expected for the 2nd round tomorrow there.

European Tour Q-School 2nd stage latest.

Michael Hoey (4 under, Tied 9th) and Conor O'Rourke (Tied 16th, 2 under), are still on course to secure one of the top 20 positions in Las Colinas, that will secure a place in Lumine GC for the final stage of European Tour Q-School. Hoey shot a 2 under 69 today, while O'Rourke shot a 1 over 72. Conor had a terrible start with 4 bogeys in his first 5 holes, but 3 birdies between holes 6 and 12 have given the Naas professional a chance to successfully make Lumine for the final stage, for the first time in 4 attempts at Q-School. The final round tomorrow will be a huge one for both men.

In Desert Springs with one round to go, David Carey is at 10 over and will miss out in the 108 hole marathon in Lumine, starting next Friday. The top 20 players there will qualify.

In Golf de Bonmont, play was delayed due to high winds, with Robin Dawson and Jonathan Caldwell both inside the top 6 after round two. The top 19 players will qualify for Lumine. The 3rd round will be completed tomorrow.

In Alenda, Niall Kearney shot a 2 over round of 74 to be placed at tied 24th at 1 over, just a shot outside the magic number of level par. The 3rd round will be completed tomorrow, with the top 20 players also making it to Lumine.

For the likes of Tyler Hogarty, Ronan Mullarney (AM), Luke Donnelly, JR Galbriath, Ruairdhri McGee (Withdrew after round two) and Daniel Brennan, they must wait another year, at least, to fulfill their dreams of making their way onto the European Tour.

Tomorrow is where all kinds of fun and games may well take place, with wind gusts of 30 mph or worse forecast in all 4 venues. Gavin Moynihan and Paul Dunne, are the only Irish players guaranteed their places in Lumine for the Q-School Final Stage, where the top 25 players and ties make it on the European Tour, in the grueling 108 hole, 6 round marathon, that starts in six days time.

It’s amazing how there doesn’t seem to a single Turk on the golf course. Players spectators and all the officials, score board holders etc are ALL brought in for the event.

In Las Colinas at the final round of the 2nd stage of European Tour Q-School, Michael Hoey have qualified for the final stage of Q-School, despite a 4 over 75 to finish at level par, currently for a tied-15th, but will secure a place in Lumine.

However a disappointing 5 over round of 76 today for Conor O'Rourke, meant at 3 over overall, he will miss out in the final stage.

In Golf Club de Bonmont after 3 rounds, Robin Dawson at 3 under, tied 11th and Jonathan Caldwell at 6 under, tied 3rd, are still on course to make it onto Lumine, with the final round still to come. Play will finish on Monday. The top 19 players there will make it onto Lumine.

There was a delay to play at Alenda GC, where Niall Kearney at 1 over, tied for 28th currently, after two rounds, where high winds have delayed play there. Round 3 has not been completed and all 72 holes won't be finished until Monday, weather permitting. The top 20 players there will make it onto Lumine.

Golf hasn't much of a following in Turkey. Its predominantly a tourist thing. The locals are more likely to have been watching football than in the mosque but golf would be well down the list either way.

A huge congratulations to Cormac Sharvin from Ardglass, who is now a full European Tour member for the upcoming 2019/20 season, after securing one of the 15 cards available, via the Challenge Tour rankings. Sharvin finished 11th, in the end of season rankings, after a rock solid season. His performance at Lahinch, where he was the leading Irishman at the Irish Open, back in July of this year, where he finished inside the top 20 at the West Clare venue, certainly proved that he can mix it with the big boys.

Congrats Cormac and here's hoping that a positive season awaits in 2020, for this very impressive ball-striker. A very good player from tee to green, if his putter gets hot, than watch out for a breakthrough season, in what will be his first full season, as a fully fledged European Tour member.
