Really good competitive card at York tomorrow.

Moshaawer is drawn ok in 17 in the 2.25 and will run well paddy goes 6 places online so an ew bet

Mitbaahy has a good bit to find with a few in the listed race at 4.10 but could find it,sold ew.

Fishable has a weight pull with a few from the last run and can repay ew support.

I have not finished trying to find the Ebor winner yet but will try to find one that will be competitive from a reasonable (high) high draw before the morning.

Fishable runs in the 4.45 York and is freely available at 14s 5 places.

Oisin Murphy has 5 rides at Sandown for Andrew Balding looks like having a few winners, one that interests me at around 9/1 is PIVOINE in the 3,15.

The Gosdens have a very short one in this and while the horse (Poet of Life) could turn out to be very good has beaten very little so far winning easily in a class 5 last time.Meets some useful handicappers in a class 2 now and is very short at 6/4.

The value bet for me is PIVOINE who has won off a mark of 104,races off 94 now and represents ew value having run well last time and suited by the course and trip.

Finally i will not be betting on the Ebor,i could pick 6 and not get a placed horse so i will give it a miss.

ONLY THE BRAVE 4.30 Salisbury must have a very good chance today in a ladies race for amateur riders, with probably the best rider,Brodie Hampson on board and from the yard of Archie Watson the horse will go close.

Given too much to do last time i fully expect the mare to her head in front and the fitting of a first time visor may help 3/1 everywhere.

Another mare OUTONPATROL 2,10 Bangor is my only other bet in a 3 mile handicap chase.

She has not run for 50 days but if ready to go is an ew bet at 10/1,one of two 7 year olds in the race she may still be improving and taking her fitness on trust 10/1 may be a bit generous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Outonpatrol continues to drift and unless there is some money for the horse I would be inclined to wait closer to the off before deciding to get involved.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Money for the horse so I had my ew bet,now sorry i didnt take the 10s lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,480 ✭✭✭Chancer3001

Jamil is 40/1 in the 1.30 at Catterick tomorrow.

The odds speak for themselves. 66s probabaly available if a man shopped around.

Used to be a decent horse. Totally lost its way of late.

But has won at catterick before.

Goes best on slow ground so if theres any rain (good to soft at the min) ill have an ew shot at it. 4places with skybet.

Going actually improved (good) so i stayed away. Hope others did too

Sam Maximus has run a few very good races and was very close to some speedy types in the Gimcrack and may be too good for the home team.,Millie has improved over hurdles this year and a tiny improvement would enable her to win at Hamilton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

NECTARINE is the complete outsider in the 7.15 at the Curragh but she gets weight in this nursery.

All the top trainers have runners but i have a feeling NECTARINE will outrun her odds (33/1 or better) and a few quid ew on the filly may give a return.

Good racing today and hopefully we may back a few winners .

Judicial 3.15 Bev is a bit of a specialist at the track and with Pp going 4 places I backed it ew.

Perotto 3.35 Goodwood has a bit to find but is very game and at 10s is worth a small bet ew.

Cambridgeshire looks a good bet in the 5.05 Newmarket.

Chief of Chiefs at 14 to1 is worth a little ew in the2.45 Newmarket.

Go on Chez was very impressive first time over fences from the point point fields and a good judge told me it has a bright future and will defy a rise in the weights in the 5.15 Cartmel at around 4 to1 and finally Teona has a lot of class and may find the 6oc at Windsor easy pickings.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Bank holiday in the UK and lots of meetings so i picked out 3 that i think should qo well.

SOLAR IMPULSE would be going for 5 on the trot except for falling with the race won and can defy a penalty in the 4.45 Cartmel.

KETTLE HILL gave 5 lbs to Garden Oasis when beaten a head last time,an unlucky loser then and should have no trouble turning the tables in the 3.40 at Ripon now 4 lbs better of and on a stiff track.

MY BROTHER MICK caused a shock last time beating two he meets again on worse terms but he should beat them again and has the same amateur jock on board in this contest confined to amateur riders in the 4.50 Ripon.

No joy today as the three I fancied failed to sparkle.

Backing one at a big price ew in the 6.15 Roscommon .Stylistic Approach has been off for a while but that should not prevent a good run at around 11 or 12 to 1.

Trying to get it going it's quite a lot. He got up easy enough had bit of info there and they payed 1/4 which was good these days. On a bad run so good to get 1 back off the collectors will try post up if any other infos with proper spelling.

I think EMBOUR is a decent ew bet in the 1.10 at Doncaster,EMBOUR takes plenty of racing and last won in april,a class 3 off 90.

The gelding has run 10 times since,8 class 2s,1 class 3 and 1 class 4 when he was beaten a head,he runs off 87 here and his rider takes off 3 lbs in a race confined to ladies.

With a good rider up,exactly 8 runners EMBOUR must be a very good ew bet at 6s,he gives 8 lbs to the short priced fav Lord P who has won its last two but a 9 lbs rise may be be too much or the fav and i expect EMBOUR to come out on top.

One gets a good price and the horse is taken out, however it is better that the horse was withdrawn if there was something not quite right or the going was deemed unsuitable.

The well backed horse is well worth keeping in mind.

Had a look at the friday cards and i am going to back a few that i think may be value.

Sandown 3.30 THE TURPINATOR was off for 662 days beore running well to be beaten a neck and if in the same form is value ew at 17/2 ew.

In the 4.05 Sandown MOUNT MARCY can improve for a step up in trip at around 7/2.

At Doncaster HOO YA MAL impressed me last time and can win the the listed race at 1.40 for the in-form Balding yard.

I am going to give KIMIFIVE one last chance in the hot handicap at 3.45,almost at a lifetime low mark now i swore i would not back him again when he left the Tuite yard, now with Bridgewater he carries my ew money one more time at 11/1.

Two 2nds,hoping a winning run due soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Now we know why EMBOUR was taken out,he got into the the Portland handicap worth more than 38 grand to the winner on the bottom of the handicap.

It is always a tough race to win and EMBOUR will have a very tough task but Ruth Carr who trains the horse must believe he has some sort of chance and he was 6th in this race when it was last run in 2019 beaten a length and was also placed in the Ayr Gold Cup.

Those two runs were of marks of 96 and 95 and showed his well being in the big field Great Saint Wilfrid handicap off his current mark of 87/

He was hampered that but still ran well to finish 6th of 20,PP is going 7 places and i has a tenner ew on at 33s tonight but will not get B O G until the morning when i will have enough tenner ew with PP.40/1 is available with most firms but most not going 7 places.

That’s a great spot Zimmer. However the horse runs, it’s often interesting to know why a horse is pulled from one race only to run in another.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

JUST FRANK is a front runner who is there to be shot at in the Ayr Gold Cup today, normally i would not consider front runners for this race nor 3 year olds, but i think Just Frank could be a bit special and with PP going 7 places i will back it ew.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Bosca Cheoil was a big fancy a few days ago ,the horse that beat her runs again today and is fancied ut at the odds a few quid ew on Bosca may pay off.

Goes in Gowran 2.45. 8/1 currently.

I like one in the next race - 3.20 Gowran OLIVIA VALERE 6/1

She didn't do much at HDB's yard, but was stepped up to 9f lto and showed significant improvement. She came 2nd that day, and if she repeats that, then Peter Fahey's filly should go well here over a furlong shorter on similar ground. I think the fav Navorrosse may be stretched by the 1 mile trip, and that the 2nd fav No show may need further.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 305 ✭✭hudhastings

I hear no show has a chance as well 320.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Winners scarce enough the last few days so a change of luck due.

DAAWY 3.22 won this last year and is now 2lbs below that mark, however the the case for DAAWY is the ground.Four of his 5 wins have come on soft and todays conditions are perfect.

The race is for veterans and Multellie won it in 2018 and 2019 off 74 and 75 and would have a chance if back to his best but age may be catching up with him and the danger may come from Smart Lass who also likes soft ground.

I backed DAAWY to win and am having a small combination forecasts and tricasts bet with Smart Lass and Multellie.

Financial won a good maiden last August and looked to have a very bright future at around a mile.

The horse has failed to win since but has turned out very good and has run well in the top handicaps and a couple of group races.

I have backed it to win the listed race at 4.37 Listowel and feel that he has an excellent chance on ground he will like.

I took 7 to 2 and with his trainer seemingly back in form he could be a good bet today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Gremlins got in there ,the horse is of course Finans Bay trained by Michael Halford 4.37

PP paying 6 places in the Kerry national today. Home by the lee @ 33_1 might be worth an ew shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Seeking a change of luck following a poor enough run, heading off to Kenmare today and looking orward to seeing what the Brennans have done to the Landsdowne hotel since they took it over.

Pricey enough so a bit of a touch would be appreciated and bets on early as i will be driving when most of the best racing takes place.

FOORAT 1.50 ew 4 places has been running well but dryer ground should should be a help 4/1 Newmarket.

Jessica Harrington sends FOREBEARANCE to Newmarket for the 2.25 and must have a very good chance ew at 9/2.

MR WAGYU 2.5 York ran a blinder last time and can win the 2.05 York.

I backed the 3 ew in singles and 3 ew doubles and an ew treble for a little more than i would normally bet and i am hopeful.

There is a Boyles shop in Kenmare but in case i might not get to ti tomorrow to avail of the 7 places on offer for the Cambridgeshire i backed two in the race today with them. LUCANDER has a good record in the race and seems to be laid out for it this year and may give the Gosden "good thing" a race at 20s Boyles 25s other places.

The place to be drawn in the last 10 years is between stall 20 and 30 where 7 of the last 10 winners came from and LUCANDER is drawn in the right place,i was giving YOURE HIRED a chance at 66/1 but he is drawn 3 and that makes life tough but because he has run very well twice in this and i very well handicapped inc the 5 lbs claimed by the rider i could not resist a tenner ew saver at 66s and one drawn 3 or 4 did win this some years ago.

Skybet paying 8 places in that cambridge race. 34 run.

I went with jim crowleys mount at 7s. Never outside top 3 in six runs.

    3 wins

    Drawn 22 (thanks zimmer)

Reckon it has a good shot

ROBEAM is a bit of a plodder but that may be just what is required in the 3.14 at Pontrefact today when the two mile two furlongs will take a bit of getting.

ROBEAM stays and goes on the soft ground and is too big a price at 11/1 with PP.

With just 8 runners ROBEAM is a decent ew bet,the gelding can go from the front but does not have to and is worth an ew bet.

    1.38. 2/1

The Cesarewitch with over 30 runners is always a tough puzzle to solve, was won by hoeses at the lower end of the weights for many years but with the increased prizemoney classier types are being laid out for the race and bigger weights are being carried to victory.

Willie Mullins has won the last 3 runnings of this and with 6 fancied runners it will be no surprise if he wins it again.

I have backed ELYSIAN FLAME at 18/1 with PP7 places and i am convinced this sound stayer has been laid out for the race, has form in some of the big staying handicaps and we might not have seen the best of him yet and i will be surprised if we do not get a good run.

Fancy that Elysian Flame myself.. Has only had a handful of runs on the flat at 2 miles or further, he's only 5, and his last two runs at Goodwood and Ascot over marathon trips (albeit slightly further than what he tackles later on today) have seen him come third both times (both races were in Class 2 Handicaps, which is the same grade as today's feature) , and he's drawn in the middle in box 17 - out of the last 13 outings of this race, only 2 of the winners have come from lower than stall 11... I also like THEMAXWECAN @ 50/1 PP drawn in stall 22.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Luck might be changing got the place money. Ascot is mouthwatering on sat and will be giving the meeting a good look, the ground will be crucial to the outcme of at least a couple of races.

A few quid from the books would be welcomed as i am heading to Carton House for 2 nights and it would be great if PP would cover it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

CHAIRMANOFTHEBOARD 2.20 Haydock will not lack assistance today as Buick continues in his battle for the seasons top jock.

The horse is running very well and has been a little unlucky in its last couple of runs.Thaler with Moore up is fav but that is more on the possible potential of the 3 year old rather than actual achievements and i would consider last years winner Air Raid more of a danger despite top weight.

PP and some others go 5 places so i backed CHAIRMANOFTHEBOARD ew with a saver on Air Raid.
