And Munster get 5 points against Ospreys.

Yup, that was in op's post

And if all that happens I presume Munster play Leinster in the QF?

    Please happen.

Yeah that's what it looks like. 2 weeks before the same Pro14 fixture

Munster can still be 7th or (8th) seed.
Ulster win means they are 6th

Racing win and Sarries get no more then 1 point
    Toulouse beat Glaws
Then one of Glasgow or Saints can be 8th seed

Munster would then travel to Exeter
Leinster at home to Glasgow or Saints

I think Sarries will beat R92 though. And they could be 7th. Off to Exeter. That would be spicy

Not sure that would be the best thing for Leinster.
They are rolling over so many teams so easily at the moment, that I think they would benefit from a more serious test before coming into the semi and final. The Pro 14 is just a waste of time for them now as far a top challenges for the first team, although they are reaping the results of being able to use them for player development of the 2nd and 3rd strings.
But Racing, Clermont, Exeter, Toulouse, Saracens are the teams, and all capable of turning over Leinster. On balance, better to have to work for a couple of wins than go into a final without having had a serious game under their belts.

Yeah Exeter v Saracens would be a good one. Hard to know where Saracsns will be at. If they're going to be relegated automatically, Premiership comes irrelevant. Even winning the Champions Cup won't get them into CC next season. But yeah would think a win would distract a bit from all their issues

But Leinster are on target to be 1st so are always going to be playing 8th place anyways in a qf. Besides maybe Saracens don't think Northampton, Glasgow or Gloucester say would put up much of a test. And can only play team in front of you of course

I thought Sarries were nailed on to beat Racing but the off pitch goings on this week is a less than ideal preparation and their hearts might not be in it

It's hard to know really. Saracens have strong team out and playing at home, Racing will be motivated to get home qf and are playing well. It could go either way but I hope Racing edge it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,104 ✭✭✭nordydan

Now 24-29. So looks ominous for Munster

    29-24 Northampton now.

Lyon atrocious in the 2nd half.

Northampton ahead and have tbp, 24 27. If they lose by less than 7 they will finish ahead

    Saints get 2 points = 16
    Munster can get to 16.

Saints PD is crap given Leinster humped them twice.

    Ballax

Look was always going to be a hard group to get out off and then with it being a world cup year. Try and do well in the league for the rest of the season and take it from there.

Having preseason for 20/21 with our experienced coaches could help a lot and a few new players

Still a chance if Glasgow dont get a tbp win against Sale and we have better pd plus Gloucester losing to Toulouse. But think Glasgow will get it

So we need each of the following to happen:

Glasgow not to get a BP win when they face an away game to Sale (5.30 today)
Racing to win when away to Saracens, Saracens getting 1 losing BP is OK (tomorrow at 1)
Munster to get BP win at home against Ospreys (tomorrow at 1)
Gloucester to lose when away against Toulouse, 1 losing BP is OK (tomorrow at 3.15)

    Think that covers it..?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,137 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

It's possible! Munster should win and get the BP. Gloucester will most likely be thumped. Sale are a decent side, they could even pull off an upset. Sarries could be distracted and really screw up.

Yep. I'd be worried about Glasgow and Saracens results tbh. But can only control our game so have to wait and see

Try for Glasgow after two minutes..... Looking a bit ominous now for Sale and Munster

Afraid so! Was always going to be an uphill battle even if they hadn't got the tbp win really.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,605 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Sale going out of their way to throw this, yellow card for dropping a forearm on a players head after the tackle and then a try for Glasgow from the resulting penalty. Only 10 minutes gone

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,011 ✭✭✭✭prawnsambo

    Another try for Glasgow
