Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't got a refund yet for an exam I didn't sit in November.

Yes, I have! I didn't request it or anything just appeared in the account like 2 weeks ago.

Yeah I actually got mine refunded on November 27th - I just double checked the date. I didn't apply for it but I sent in a fairly scathing complaint about another exam that I did sit so I think that may have attracted their attention.

Contract legislation is now gone, but also have the Succession Act tabbed and highlighted if anyone needs that also :)

Grand so. I'll send them a screaming e-mail and hopefully they'll refund me within the next 6 months.

I have Property and Contract legislation. They are in good condition but hilighted. Willing to post for a reasonable fee if anyone needs them!

    No :/

Did they send you a read receipt of your application? I emailed them well before the deadline but never heard anything then rang the office and they told me to email it in again, but again no read receipt, maybe they just don't let you know they've received it.

No, heard nothing. I sent a second email last week asking if they’d received it and didn’t get a response to that either. Might try calling tomorrow to see what the story is.

Maybe it's just the way they do things, least we're in the same boat

    Property question:

Working off a fairly old manual, 2016/2017

Any cases since then that I should look at? Important ones?

    Thanks :)

I did. I was wondering if many people have applied to it too

Just spoke to them. The lady who answered the phone was lovely. She took my name and checked, was able to tell me that they received it and it was sent on to the Partner who is dealing with all the applications.

So I’d say worth calling them to check - even just for your own peace of mind!

    Hi all

    Long-time lurker here.

Would you think it's worth studying Undue Influence (under Rescission) for this sitting as it apparently came up in the last sitting?

    Thanks

    Hi All

General FE1 question for law graduates. Appreciating that everyone studies at a different pace, how much time would you need to comfortably cover material for 4 fe1s if studying full time with no other distractions.

Would 4 months be too short a time frame?

Did she mention when we may hear :)

I'm just wondering if anyone has paid the re-check fee without having access to their script from November?

Is it too much of a risk considering the price? I've been waiting to see if they released the scripts before the 29th but it's looking unlikely

I actually didn’t ask! She just said that they’d gone to the Partner who was reviewing the applications.

I think 4 subjects in 4 months would definitely be doable! Especially if you're a law graduate so you're not starting from scratch

I have paid recheck fee already! My thinking is the sooner it’s paid the sooner I’ll get the result and if I don’t pass the longer I’ll have to study!

I sent in an email to apply and I got an automated response saying the provisional date for the recheck results is the 19th of February!

Does anyone know if it is foolish to leave out land-based torts (Trespass, Nuisance and Rylands) this paper?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 552 ✭✭✭awsah

Rylands came up in novmeber so I would leave that out and maybe do nuisance? you could take the risk and leave it all out

Depends on your study technique - I find it quite easy to memorise material but it has to be in my own writing. Spent about 3/4 weeks writing out notes for 3 subjects and then studied the notes across a 3/4 week period. I passed all three but it depends on your study technique really but I would say 4 months will be loads of time. Focus on exam papers is my advice!

For company, if there is a question on liquidation does it generally tend to be on inability to pay debts? Can everything else be left out? Any opinion appreciated!

Do a gdpr request for your results and they will have to send them in 30 days

Did you specifically request a results letter? If you send a request seeking a list of results for each subject they have to send it
