Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm still getting popups, email & now a text, to update my id. It's now a week since they confirmed my new id was accepted. Very annoying.

Bit the bullet and uploaded passport photo and selfie, by time I got into work I got a message saying it had been verified.

No, as mentioned earlier in this thread your public services card is not a valid form of ID outside of some public services you need an in date passport or passport card.

Wonder what will happen now the year extension is coming into play, they said previously accounts would be suspended if no deal kicks in on Friday but that’s looking very unlikely.

Afraid not, passport is the only thing they'll accept. Although it does look like there won't be a no-deal Brexit in the short term anyway, so the re-verification shouldn't actually be needed

Happened to me before, they will come back for the money and I think it’s called a delayed transaction on the app

Happened to me with a purchase at Lidl Holyhead last year. Transaction was eventually reprocessed.

It happened me as well with the London tube. My account went into the minus by a few euros and they sent me a message saying pay up or they would suspend my account.

They will if you don't top it up within 7 days.

And yes. I've seen it happen that payments got reverted and recharged later on. You know what you spend and what got authorized. Expect, that the money will come out eventually.

So last week on the 3rd, I used revolut to send my sister 50 euro to her sterling account, it's listed in my revolut. But she checked and never received, is there anything I can do? Is there a chance it might show up or bounce back to me at some point? It's just right now, I can't really be affording to be losing money.

It's only been extended to October, with the UK aiming at leaving before 22. May. So nothing is going to change. The renewal of the ID still needs to be done.

Anyone know when we're getting the new UK account numbers?

My Dad wants his UK pension to be paid to my Revolut and then I'll pass it onto him. But he doesn't want to send a letter now if the details will be changing in a couple of weeks.

Or should I just send it and then update when the details change? I presume there'll be a changeover period or we'll be given enough notice.

No. You get a sort-code and account number with your GBP account, if you have it activated. It's for UK local transfers.

In the app go to "More" -> "Profile" -> "Account Details" -> "GBP".

    It will be in there.

Ah yes I see it now, cheers. I only use the card for day to day spending to keep my Visa Debit offline and away from card machines (Revolut is the only place it's registered for topping up) so I hadn't used the account stuff at all.

    Ends in 75 also.

I’m still waiting for my passport for I popped over to Revolut blog to see what the plan is now the brexit fiasco is delayed and there isn’t a no deal Brexit and here’s what they said

“If the UK and the EU strike a deal, or if there’s a period of transitional relief, then nothing should change on our side. We would continue to passport our UK authorised permissions (via Revolut Ltd) across Europe, and there would be no action required on your side.”

So no rush with my passport then.

Just got this email from Revolut ...

You're probably Reesly sick of hearing about Brexit by now. We understand. It's all very Merkely and confusing.

We're sorry to Boris you with more Brexit stuff, but please don't send this email to your Juncker folder. We have an important message you May want to hear.

For now, all our politicians have stopped having a Barnier about what deal to sign. This is good news. It means that you'll stay as part of our UK entity for the foreseeable future, and that you don’t need to do anything on your side for now. There's a Chancellor this will change in the future, but we will keep you up to date as developments continue.

We suggest that you celebrate by using your Revolut card to go out and buy a sweet treat. Maybe a strawberry Macron.

So panic for my passport to process is off ....

For anyone who’s travelled to the US with this, how do you find it? Any issues with it being accepted? I’ve swipe enabled on it which should help.

I’m traveling for 14 days in the US, am I better to load the majority of spending money onto the card, and keep a few hundred in cash, or what did you find works best?

    Thanks

Thanks. Card it is then. I’ll keep a few hundred in cash for tips etc and load the rest onto the card. Is it mainly swipe and sign they use ?

A tip posted last year about turning off location based security worked for one of my offspring during her stay in the US over the winter. The card was being randomly declined until the location based security was turned off. No problems after that.

I found it worked OK in the US as long as you had a data connection, WiFi or otherwise. Terrible here regardless of what you do.

Yes. I think technically you only have one account with Revolut but it holds multiple currencies at the same time. So there is no transferring between accounts just currencies.
