Hmm....don't know Alien; think Hypnotic Poison is fairly 'heavy'? Have nothing specifically female here (I think) and TBH am unlikely to get three in before Christmas but keep an eye out for my next email. A recent one I thought was very good was Citizen Queen by Juliette Has a Gun.

Male stuff - I have a few bits which frankly aren't moving so am thinking of a 'clearance' type listing shortly - should be a good opportunity to pick up 3 x 10ml. Couple of ouds in there too (including Gucci Intense Oud which literally nobody has bought, much to my surprise!).

yea i think they are - i think thats why she wants to move away from them. looking forward to that email - although my problem still exists what with not knowing what to get - think a child in a sweet shop for the first time hahaha so many options!

Hi pat,

Both Packages arrived safe and sound. Excellently packaged as usual!. Gave the wife the choice of the unisexes and she choose man of Aran over the absolu which I love!
Knize ten then evokes some serious 80's throwbacks to something my father would have tucked in beside the old spice and brut on the bathroom shelf. Seriously good Manish vibe off it.
The bucheron is lovely but the winner is the Valentino oud essence. As you said defo something for the outside forest walk during autumn/Winter weather. It's an animal for performance too. Decent drydown. Lasts a good few hours.

It really is great isn't it? Top of my list anyway. Still waiting on confirmation on the last split being taken - will update here if it comes free again.

And I'm sure you can say the same about the wife with shoes or whatever!

Great stuff! Apologies you didn't receive it until Monday - I posted it the previous Wednesday! Have seen quite a few days with both An Post and courier over the last week or so, so have started shipping earlier in the week. The delays are a pain in the ass TBH but to be expected I guess.....

The silly season has begun very early this year, An Post seems to be fine here currently but I have noticed issues with other couriers lately.

No timescale currently - definitely not 2020. Will keep a watching brief on it for Autumn 2021 but only if I can get a decent price on it.

Completely oversold but I have emailed the (many) disappointed requestees to say that if they're happy with Feb 2021 I'll do it again then, although can't guarantee pricing.

There was a "pulp" split last year, I'm actually wearing it tonight... I'd like gypsy water if it ever became available... but I don't think there's a huge amount of love for Byredo in here

I think Pulp is great although not for everyone.....but some of the Byredo range just leaves me scratching my head. Bal d'Afrique gets a lot of love but a sample I received was just....meh. I actually did do Gypsy Water last year. Obviously that's just personal opinion though, and mine carries no more weight thatn other's. Doesn't help that the pricing ain't cheap and - crucially - it's very rare to find Byredo at any sort of decent discount which makes the splits expensive....making them less likely to sell etc etc etc.

I'm currently wearing a mix (sparingly) of TF Oud Wood and TF Tuscan Leather, I think it may have been Pat that mentioned that mix way back.

I also do the same with TF Tobacco Vanilla and TF Oud Wood as I'm not a massive fan of TV on its own.

Both perfect for a cold day I find.

Winter.....best frag season for me, so many good choices. Used to rock the Tobacco Vanille / Tuscan Leather combo but not in a while TBH. Today it's Armani Prive Myrrhe Imperiale - to me, the Prive line gets unjustly ignored - it's well up there with Tom Ford's Private Blends, but on my experience not nearly as popular. One of my absolute favourites is Lalique Fleur Universelle - can't get enough of that spicy cognac goodness!

A lot of the Amouage line is winter appropriate too - Interlude, I'm looking at you!

Ordered in some Xerjoff Naxos today - definitely a winter oriented frag, but will split it in February - hopefully it'll still be cold then!

Amouage make some great winter scents. Interlude for sure. An acquired taste but I love it.
I also recently acquired Amouage Journey Man and it’s another belter for this time of year. If you can get some in a split here, go for it.

I don’t have any Tom Ford private line but of the TFs I do have Ombré Leather and Noir Extreme get worn this time of year. Also Beau De Jour which I have been wearing all year round.

Mugler have a couple of great fragrances in the Amen line that really suit this time of year. Pure Malt and Pure Havane. I have both and they are brilliant value for money.
