Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You'd be surprised how easy it can be to revive a laptop with a few simple things done to it!

The sun is shining directly in the window beside my desk onto my screen. Have to keep tilting the blinds to reduce the glare. As soon as I do, the sun goes in, and then it's horrible and dark at my desk so I open them. Sun comes back out. Repeat ad nauseum...

Why is this all happening now? A shop in the UK are being forced to change the name of a sandwich because it has the work 'Gentleman' in the name.
Wait til they find the ploughmans sandwich.

Leave the sandwiches, tissues and satchels alone!

They'll probably want to change the word "man" to "unwoman", or something, at this rate.

Society will change and all the worlds problems will be solved I believe once they finish the rebrand.

I believe parthenogenesis is the future, and the only equal thing to do. Probably not as enjoyable, mind you...

Seeing a missed call from Dad in work earlier and I was like "sheeeeet".

He wouldn't usually ring me when he knows I am in work unless it is an emergency, and indeed the last two times he done so was to inform me of a death.

So naturally enough I was apprehensive ringing him back when I could and braced myself for bad/worrying news.

Except all he was ringing me for was to tell me there is plenty of food left at home to eat later.

Thanks for the fright though :D

I was lying in bed at 11.30pm and my neighbor across the road was blaring out music from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats really loudly. He must have been holding a Furry themed sex party inside his house ðŸ˜

I think I've seen "womyn" and "womban" proposed as alternatives.

Both of which of course autocorrect to "woman".

Sure as long as I can do/get what I need, that's all that matters.

Think I'll start following this mentality. Get nothing for being considerate to others.

My housemates alarm goes off at 6:45 every morning. That’s 100% acceptable to me, gotta get up and go to work.

My TA is she has gone off for the weekend and her alarm is still going since 6:45

And why don’t these turn off automatically?? It’s been going for 23 minutes now

I live with my sister and she NEVER goes anywhere overnight so ye olde free gaff is a rare pearl indeed for me. She has a work thing tonight so I was very much looking forward to having the house to myself.

My other sister is also going away tonight and just rang me to say her ex, who was supposed to have their daughter, is after letting her down. There goes me lovely free gaff :(

As part of class the other day, I 'confessed' something that was hard for me to say, their first response was to contradict me and then to say I should have done thing and that(which I had).

WHY THE HELL CANT I SAY THIS WAS HARD AND BE BELIEVED?.

I think I got spoiled working in supportive(mostly) environments!

People who can't package CDs properly when posting them.

A square of bubble wrap over the CD tray's teeth (the part that holds the disc) means it won't be smashed on arrival.

There's even one type with "shamrock" or "clover" extract, I can't remember which.

    What's a CD ?

    Compact Disc.
Still the most popular format for new album sales.

However, the second hand CD market has seen a serious drop in prices which means albums can be picked up for pennies - hence I purchase a lot of these online.

People who don't seem to realise that different delivery methods for music, film/television and books can happily co-exist.

Vinyl & CD vs downloads & streaming
    DVD & BD vs Netflix
    Books vs Kindle
