This is the strangest All-Ireland build up ever.
The Dubs could do 4 in a row FOUR in a bleedin' row!
I never thought I would live to see back-to-back never mind four in a row.

It will be historic. Yet because of how far ahead Dublin are and how far behind the other counties are -
It is just made to look so easy.
It is almost assumed Dublin are going to win it is a question of how much.
I have never been as confident going into an AI in my life, at the back of my mind all I can think of is can they do five to beat that Kingdom crowd, with the notions?
The possibility of losing has not even entered my mind.

I trust Jim, I trust the process...until the lights decline I'll remember the Dubs in these rare auld times.

    Bear with me now...

During the game last year as i thought i saw it slip away I kinda came to an acceptance that we wouldn't win and given the opposition and the history and the amount of friends from Mayo I have it soothed the anguish somewhat. It didn't last long. But it happened. Then as the last 2 minutes ticked by I turned into a demon and couldn't countenance losing.

    3 is special

    4 is greatness

    5 is immortality

We know that this the greatest team of all time with the greatest coach in the history of the game but I want it to be so undisputed as to make the crawling around in the long grass for excuses and "buts" to be so pathetic to show "them" up.

(I may have had 3 stouts)

Exactly, once the likes of Micko and Spillane grudgingly accept that this Dublin team surpasses their great Kerry team.
At the point where if they don't it will look silly.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

The Dublin three in a row only gets mentioned as an afterthought at 4.20! :D

    Great 'innit?

The sadism reference was my favorite bit too. That and Martin Carney's voice cracking, like he was going through puberty live on air.

Seriously i thought he was gonna cry after he said "ah its gonna go out over the sideline".

I shouldn't be laughing i still can't watch the end of the 2006 semi final with Mayo and its been 12 years.

Indeed it is hard to believe Dublin are the cusp of a 4 in a row

I can’t help think of diarmuid Connolly this week. One of the most gifted players of his generation and he will miss out. It’s even more hard to believe Dublin survive so comfortably without him.

    Will
    We see him back ?

It's cheap to join a club. Even if you want to be a social member with access to the bar but no vote you will get it for 25 a year. The social member may never attend a match but they will buy Lotto tickets and often provide a bit of music in the bar

Most our members are involved one way or another. Coaching, lining pitches, playing tennis, supporting on side

Mogerly sausages were in my Coddle as a youngster. Sometimes Granby if we couldn't afford Mogerly. The rashers could've been from anywhere as long as the were cheap.

Mogerly are from Ballyer, no? No problem there.

It's porcine products from Langerville winding up in a coddle that the Dublin Standards Corps - 2nd Battalion: Coddle Division have a major problem with.

Wars have been fought over less.

Yea. Mogerly used to be in Ballyer near C&C. A great Dublin sausage just like Granby's. A sad day when a foreign sausage ends in in a coddle.

    I didn't know that.

He took up a very defensive role last year. A waste of his best skills imo.
TBH Reddin and Carthy were tried in the high output role too but couldn't pull it off to leave him in the forwards.

Last year a lot was down to MDMAs energy missing at midfield, dragging McCarthy into midfield

I hope Dublin line out with McCarthy at 6, Fenton and MDMA at 8 & 9 and Kilkenny in a more traditional no 10 role playing closer to goal as he has all year.

However if things don't go to plan he'll be back closer to the half back line again.

Howard has helped him this year as has a returned to form Flynn

Cluxton; McMahon, Sullivan, Murchan, Small, Cooper, McCaffrey; Fenton, McCarthy; Scully, Callaghan, Howard, Mannion, Kilkenny, Rock.

Strangest team Gavin has named so far. Doubt they will set up that way. No Fitzsimons, MDM, Andrews to name just the most obvious initial omissions.

That's the reason I am not worried at all, another manager and another team could get caught up in the hype. But not this one.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.
