Oh yeah, 100% Hue so dimmable, as well as all the colours of a regular colour Hue bulb

The two happiest days in a boat owner's life:

Day one: Buying your dream vessel
Day two: Finally selling that damn thing after realising how much money it cost you

Hue Sync now available for PC & Mac

Sync movies or music with your lights.

Any idea when this will be available for android. Crazy it's only PC & Mac when android and particularly phone use is primarily controlling hue and a number of TVs have android features. Have a laptop that I rarely use but PC version has to be Windows 8 or higher while my laptop is only Windows 7 so incompatible. Sucks.

Does anyone have a contact email / number for Hue support, I've a faulty dimmer switch purchased from amazon in Dec 2016 that I'd like to get replaced.

I'd give amazon a ring first

Facebook seems to be a good forum for contacting them, at least to even get the correct contact details for your query.

The Hue Facebook page mentions they are launching the outdoor light strip at IFA in Berlin (31st of Aug). Promo vid for the outdoor stuff on the FB page has lightstrips in it among other outdoor bits. Waiting on the lightstrips ATM to do a whole outdoor setup.

Your best bet is to keep watching amazon, on a daily basis.

Get use to the prices for the various sets of Hue bulbs, and when you notice a drop (which happens quite often), thats when to buy.

Thanks for the tip, i am building a new house and I need 30 gu10's in total, mix of colour and white ambience.

FYI I have been very disappointed by the green colour range in gu10s and the bulbs are quite a bit longer compared to a normal gu10 bulb.

So take that into consideration for any fittings you want to put colour gu10's in.

Yes I have heard that alright, I will be showing the colour GU10 to the electrician before he puts any fitting in the ceilings , just to make sure they all fit

I presume it is okay to put hue bulbs into wet rooms?

I presume it is okay to put hue bulbs into wet rooms?

Philips dont rate their hue bulbs for outside use except the new outside range. So I presume they wont rate them for bathrooms until the release their own bathroom range.

That being said if you get IP44 rated light fittings i cant see the issue. Except that when I went looking for GU10 IP44 fittings that could take hue colour bulbs length and still seal properly I couldn't find any I liked. So instead i opted to use white ambiance bulbs and sealable fittings I like.

(The green colour problem also annoyed me :o )
