He's certainly not the type of FB that will stay inside manning the penalty area, he will get forward at every opportunity, wouldnt be overly surprised if himself and Campbell swap, or at the very least interchange, I certainly don't see Campbell being centre back come championship.

Did himself and Keane share sweeping duties between them on occasions? I remember thinking the two of them were ballers in a few games over the last season or two.

Yeah, he plays very free which is a bit of a strange trait for a full back! He scored a goal from corner back against Kerry 2 years ago from pertty much the first play of the game.

Yup - that Cork defence looks raw and the attack doesn't exactly look the most potent - they also seem to only have named 8 subs (I know Tipp haven't named any but naming a squad of 23 as opposed to the normal 26 is strange - maybe Frank didn't want too many footballers getting in to the stadium for free or something?)

The Tipp side named looks very strong - I'd imagine they are not that far off their strongest 15 - O'Brien back in midfield is a big plus and I like the look of Kennedy - looks to have serious potential. Definitely worth a run at 15/8 imo.

2.95 with 888sport (didn't know they covered gaa) for anyone who bets with them.

Mind you they wont bet you much

Thought on the 4 'bankers', pays 1.64/1.
Surely none of them will slip up?

    Dublin to beat Kildare
    Dublin to beat Offaly
    Laois to beat Limerick
    Clare to beat Cavan

    Cheers,
    Pa.

Tipp footballers cruise home... great tipping here during the week.

Were dublin hurlers as short as 1/12?

Maybe I’m mistaken but thought I saw Offaly at 10/1 during the week. Can’t begrudge them the win really. They were good value for it.

Very grateful for the Tipp footballers tip here during the week - I gave up on Jennings last year and focused on the tips here instead and very quickly turned a profit - thanks guys!

    Wexford (2/1) v Waterford
    Kilkenny (6/5) v cork
    Clare (7/4) v Tipp

All worthy of consideration given pre-season form. Can't read a lot into the pre-season comps overall but they are a good indicator of likely form for the last weekend in Jan. Clare and wexford especially appeal as Waterford and tipp opted out of pre-season while their opponents have looked decent.

All odds against, doing the singles and a few combos

2 out of 3 not bad. Was heaviest on Wexford our lads still on their holidays

Just the one game in the Fitzgibbon Cup tonight, UCD v Cork IT in Group A at Belfield. UCD coming in off the back of an impressive win over UCC away at the Mardyke, 1-15 to 0-13. A win tonight will see them take spot and win a home quarter-final while Cork IT (who lost to UCC in round 1 by 1-19 to 0-12) must beat UCD by eight points to qualify. If Cork IT manage to beat UCD by eight points they will progress at UCD's expense. UCC had a stronger team out to play Cork IT than they did against UCD (Tom Devine, Shane Kingston and Mark Coleman were all missing in round 2). Also, Cork IT had to field without two of their most important players - Michael Cahalane and Robbie Hanley in round 1. Cahalane came on as a substitute for Cork at the weekend so I assume he will be back for his college's must win game tonight. Robbie Hanley hasn't been playing for Limerick llately - not sure will he back tonight. Nonetheless, Cork IT will have to go for it tonight and so I see a high scoring game.

Anyway I'm going overs in the points which is 37.5 with Boyles (4/5).

UCD 0-9 Cork 1-5 HT - UCD with the breeze in the opening half. Cork IT have been wasteful in front goal and had a point waved wide according to their twitter account. 21 more points needed - not looking great.

UCD 1-17 Cork IT 1-13 FT - Missed out by two points... F**k it:mad:

Wexford 6/4 at home to cork at the weekend.

Tipp 1/2 v Waterford is buying money.

Clare 13/8 v KK worth a pop too.

Cavan -2 vs Louth is 4/6
    Meath -2 vs Clare 10/11

The double pays just over 2/1 with PP.

If you want to be brave:
    Cavan -4 vs Louth 13/10
    Meath -4 vs Clare 8/5

    Double pays about 5/1

Both good value bets in my opinion. Louth were really poor at home last week to Down, and with Cavan dropping points versus Clare - they will need to win here and I expect them to do so comfortably.

Meath produced a late rally to come from 5 or 6 down to go 4 in front of Roscommon at Dr Hyde Park last week. But for the last minute penalty, they would have taken all 2 points. They're generally pretty strong at home and difficult to beat, I know Clare are no pushover and they proved that against Cavan. But I expect Meath to win this one with a little bit to spare. Would probably take the -2 here. They beat Clare by 12 in Ennis last year too.
