I don't have a s7 or s7 edge but a quick google led me to this post where people are asking to disable it, so maybe it does the count automatically.

Yeah, this is hard to reproduce. I bought it factory unlocked in Argos. I've been in contact with Samsung and they said they will arrange a courier. By the sounds of it unless it does it in testing I'm stuck with a faulty phone then.

You could try Argos before the courier arrives. Sometimes they will replace stuff if you have a convincing enough explanation. Worst case they will say they have to send it to Samsung, in which case you go ahead with your prearranged plans.

In any case I would put a cover letter with the phone with a simple step by step on how to reproduce the issue if you can and advise them it happens only X % of the time.

Anyone have issues with the Facebook app on the S7?

I'm not on about battery drain but just plain not updating.... I can go into at 09:00 have a certain newsfeed, go in @13:00 refresh and get a nigh-on identical news feed.
If I then kill the app and re-open it, I've tons of new entries in my news feed.

    Getting annoying now.

Does anyone know if you used facebook to sign in(ie click the FB icon on any new app and it logs in automatically) into apps when you started using any new apps, does that mean you need the FB app on the phone or can you uninstall the FB app and will the external apps stay connected?

First day since I've got my S7 Edge that I haven't been using it all day. I've done very little on it so far since 8am and the battery is draining pretty quickly. Any ideas? Facebook app I hear is bad for this?

In settings your can open smart manager. Click battery, and select detail under 'Save battery by optimising the power usage of apps'. Now you can select if you want apps to optimise power usage all the time, not at all, or after 3 days. Generally speaking I set all my apps to optimise power usage with the exception of play store, my sms app, email app etc...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWGPAEUOtt0
    Go to 1:25 of video

I have also turned off google now voice detection as that is listening continuously and drains battery, and I don't use it. Also turned off s-voice.

Other things you can do is go for a darker wallpaper, manually turn down your brightness, turn off features you don't use (e.g. bluetooth, smart stay, etc..) and turn off auto sync or at least select apps that you don't want syncing in background.

if you would like a cheaper one that is legit then this seller in Ebay does it.

    http://www.ebay.ie/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=t-dimension7&item=252316366293&_osacat=9355&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xs7.TRS0&_nkw=s7&_sacat=9355

    normal s7 - G930F (single sim) / G930FD (dual sim)
    S7 edge - G935F (single) / G935FD (dual)

they offer 3 colors black, gold and silver.
That's the cheapest i can find online that is legit seller and not a scam.

check the versions of the S7 here before you order as some may have Snapdragon or Exynos chipset.

Sorry, late to the party here.

I was looking at this seller myself, but would be worried about warranty considering the "D" model tend to be middle eastern/Asian. He has no G930F's left.

I managed to "nab" an S7 (G930F) from amazon.de yesterday for €500 from a third party seller, but it looks dodgy. I'm covered by amazon a-z though if it doesn't arrive, so I might let it roll for a few days to see if it actually ships. The price is a little to good to be true though....

let us know when it arrives ;)
yeah i myself would still prefer the F ones as it is european and FD is designed for Asian countries. If there was any problem on FD i am not too sure if Samsung Europe will consider it.

As expected I received an email last night from amazon.de to say the order was cancelled by the seller.

Back to the search. I'm tempted to go with the one from ebay though. Although I can get one form a more reputable third party seller (highly rated) on amazon.de for roughly the same price including delivery €580 approx. Might be better as I is from a EU store and is the European version, so they can't mess me around with warranty.

there are still F ones like this (but contact the seller first as it states "dual" which could be the FD)
    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-G930F-Dual-LTE-32GB-Gold-gft-EN-DE-IT-ES-FR-Ship-fm-UK-X1047-/252316366317?hash=item3abf3a35ed:g:wl0AAOSwmmxW4l5w

i would say with parcel motel or parcel wizard your total cost will only be 555eu say that's a fair price

I might go for it. That store has been on eBay since 2006 and has a 98.8% positive rating. That's as reputable as you'll get.

They also state that they will handle any warranty issues with the devices they sell.

Actually 98.8% is a pretty rubbish rating on eBay. I don't go near anything below 99.2%.

I actually found the same sellers stnadalone website and they are selling it even cheaper there - https://www.t-dimension.com/uk/top-cell-phones/top-android-phones/samsung-galaxy-s7-g930fd-dual-4g-lte-32gb-black-multi-unlocked-phone.html?

    €528.48

Pretty sure it's the same seller. For another €20 cheaper.

anybody having trouble with Google photos not uploading photos?? This is going on nearly 2 weeks now. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turning off and one the back up but no joy, all i could get was 2 arrows in a circle as if it was syncing but they never moved and nothing backed up. Thought the update last night might have fixed it but no. I have it on the free unlimited upload.

I got a bit worried yesterday after I had placed the order as I had been reading that since T-Dimension are based in Hong Kong that I'll more than likely get stung for import VAT. I emailed them promptly as they do seem to state on their eBay page that they have items shipping from the UK. They responded and confirmed this. It seems they now have a warehouse distribution centre in the UK.

I very relieved to say the least as if I got stung for VAT it would end up costing me more than if I just bought it in a shop. Still a bit apprehensive, but if it is truly shipping from the UK, it would already have cleared EU customs and not be subject to such checks in Ireland.

Let us know how it goes. Very good price. The price of the phone and plans on irish networks is crazy.
