French toast strawberry rolls with a vanilla latte. Delicious. Really easy to do and so tasty. Definitely a new lazy Sunday brekkie for us.

Oh how do you make them? Eleven month old's two favourite things are french toast and berries!

Made a saucepan of porridge this morning, when cooked stirred in two tablespoons of Aldi's Classic Mincemeat and let heat through.
All those cinnamon and raisin flavours
    Gorgeous.

I saw a video on facebook but I can't find it now. Here's how I did them but it might not be exactly as per that video.

Slices of bread, crusts removed and flattened with a rolling pin
Put a generous spread of cream cheese on each one (I used goats)
Put diced berries along one edge and roll it up into a tube
Dip each one into beaten egg (I put a tiny drop of vanilla in)
Fry. I used coconut oil and it gave it a nice flavour. I'd imagine coconut oil or butter might taste better than olive oil.

They're hot and a bit jammy in the middle so I cut them in half and let cool and they were perfect for the baby to toddle around eating.

Brilliant thanks - looking forward to trying them

I made creamy coconut porridge from Deliciously Ella's food blog. It was like having dessert for breakfast! Made it with alpro coconut milk and used crunchy cashew butter and topped with a few chopped nuts

    Link --> http://deliciouslyella.com/coconut-porridge/

I had this porridge this morning, using coconut milk from a can. It was delicious.

Frittata with smoked salmon, spinach, feta cheese and asparagus.

Cottage Cheese with a dollop of peanut butter all mixed up in it.

Struggling for inspiration lately. Porridge and I are on a break.

Recent efforts have all been cottage cheese, microwaved eggs or an occasional yoghurt.

I'm quite partial to a ham, cheese and veg frittata but even that has gotten a bit boring.

After seeing Tree's post a couple of pages back I've been making sausage & egg muffins quite a bit, but this morning I had porridge with grapes and honey.

Steak and eggs might fix that!

Homemade white bread (bit awkward as made it in a round casserole instead of the usual loaf tin), buttered, with the whole hoggs' white pudding mashed on top then folded. So fluffy, with some smokiness from the superb pudding.

I had a huge brekkie this morning, potato waffles, beans, mushrooms, soft fried egg, aldi meatfree sausages, strong coffee and half a snickers. STUFFED.

"Paleo" pancakes, bacon and fruit & nuts in yoghurt. My ex used to make these and I got it into my head yesterday that I wanted them.

They weren't as good as his, but not bad at all for a first try. Forgot to take a pic, though...

2 soft poached eggs, with half an avocado together on homemade brown bread toast with a strong coffee.

Have to say the soft poached egg and avocado eaten together wasn't my cup of tea! Everyone seems to be mad about it :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,772 ✭✭✭✭Whispered

I agree ^^ I love the both separately but together I can't eat them. I think it's more texture than taste.
