Bought the croissant dough that's in Lidl this week and rolled them up with wholegrain mustard, ham and cheese. 20 bazillion calories, but so good.

We had the full works this morning. Sausages, rashers, white pudding, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms & onions, hash browns, scrambled eggs, toast and marmalade. And gallons of tea.

Exactly how did you make this? Toast the bread on one side -> break an egg onto the non toasted side of the bread -> sprinkle grated cheese on top and toast?

She hasn't told me yet but I think she cut a hole in the bread (heart shaped apparently:)) Put it in a frying pan, dropped an egg in the hole and after a few minutes transferred it to the grill pan where she grated cheese on top. The toast was wonderfully crispy - like a fried bread. Really tasty.

Wow, that's quite a complex way for a 12 year old to produce her first toastie!!!

I tried a version of this for my son this afternoon as follows:-

    - Slice of white bread (a rare treat for him but as he has a week off I let him buy a white pan yesterday) toasted under the grill on one side.
    - Lightly buttered the non grilled side and spread Marmite on it (I know I know!!, you either love it or hate it) and broke an egg on top.
    - Covered the raw egg and rest of the bread with grated cheese.
    - Put into an oven at 200c for 20 minutes and then topped off under the grill for 5 minutes.

The outcome was declared a success and devoured but if I was doing it again I'd put the raw egg covered bread/toast under the grill for a few minutes to cook the egg then cover it with cheese and grill again.

Covering the raw egg with cheese and then putting it in a hot oven meant the egg was insulated from the heat and took forever to cook.

Not bad for a first effort though ;)

Sorry only seeing this post now! I used this recipe --->
    http://paleomg.com/3-ingredient-simple-protein-pancakes/

(I used chocolate whey protein, left out the chocolate chips and used coconut oil to cook them! made them last weekend and had them with alpro soya coconut and they were yum!)

    Ingredients
    2 bananas, mashed
    2 eggs, whisked
½ cup Formulx Vanilla Protein Powder
Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips (optional - or whatever else you want in the pancakes)
1 tablespoon butter (or other oil - to grease the pan)
    Instructions
Mix together bananas, eggs, and protein powder until well combined.
Place a pan over medium heat. Grease the pan with a bit of oil. Once pan is hot, add a large spoonful of the pancake mixture to the pan, about 3-5 inches wide.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the pancakes.
Once the pancakes begin to bubble, flip them. Cook for about 1 minute each side, depending how hot the pan is.
    Regrease the pan, as needed.

Omelette with chillies, last night's maple mustard roast chicken leg, baby cucumbers and 2 bananas. I'm already thinking of lunch.

Huevos Rancheros for three this morning. My favourite breakfast, topped with parmesan shavings at the end.

This is my go to sunday morning breakfast lately, its heaven!

Make sure and get the best quality raw chorizo you can find.

Also the corn tortillas from Picado mexican are so good.

Quinoa goreng, fried egg, two bananas and a green smoothie that was a little bit revolting but I drank it anyway.

Overnight oats with almond milk, vanilla, honey, chia seeds and cinnamon.

I'd imagine almond milk, vanilla and honey would be a sickly sweet mix.

That combined with the texture. I do think that half the the healthy eating meals posted on instagram don't taste half as nice as they look!

I like overnight oats with cinnamon and raisins and unsweetened almond milk. I sometimes grate some carrot into it to make it like carrot cake oats

I agree, the texture is horribly sloppy. Avocado toast is another one that looks delicious but tastes weh-weh.

I too am not fond of this combination. Fooled, I was. Fooled!
