We could (and probably have) dedicate an entire thread to sweets, crisps and icepops from the past that have been destroyed.
I still haven't gotten over the loss of real Monster Munch. One of my defining memories from transition year in school (2000), when the tuck shop suddenly started selling the new version; there was a secret stash of old boxes for those in the know.
    :

While Walkers took the name Monster Munch, Tayto still make them with the name Mighty Munch and other than the packaging, I don't think they taste any different than the original.

    Waste of time and money.

They should of just had Warchild's brother come after Utah in a sequel or something.

    I'll be ready

Cadbury's creme eggs were great before Kraft came in and completely mucked it up.

Not that I use it much anymore, but, Facebook should have been left well enough alone.

At one point it was fine, good even, very usable, great in it's simplicity. Then they kept adding features and they made a mess of it!

I agree with you totally now its a mess and horrible to use.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Tracey Chapman's 'Fast Car'. That new cover version is a crime against music.

Almost, but not quite, as horrific as Madonna's version of 'American Pie'.

The rule in football where the goalie could kick the ball from his hands. Packie Bonner had some kick. Hooft it into the othe goal almost. Get the team down the other end and drop in the ball and hope for the best.
Since they changed this rule Irelands success at international level has waned.

New "updated" versions of board games. They are shiit quality and less usable than they were back in the 80s.
Recently I was feeling nostalgic so I bought some games for my son (and for me!). Guess Who is crap, the little doors don't stay open or closed so small children make mistakes and then it's no fun.
Mastermind, the little pegs are loose so they fall out. And the colours aren't easy to distinguish in low light.
New Scrabble has made the squares on the board just slightly too big, and the board is slippier, so when you turn it, all the tiles slide around.

Yup that's one thing I'm thankful for - not having to wash my clothes (and sometimes my hair) after a night out cos I used to absolutely reek of cigarette smoke back in the day!! Oh and I'm pretty sure my lungs are thankful too :D
