Actually to expand on the above.

    Frankie at UFC200,
Then Aldo in a 155 title eliminator UFC 203
RDA for LW title the NYE/Early Jan card UFC 206
Sets up Conor verses Nate rematch for the LW title at UFC 209 in May.

More chance on winning the lotto than that happening :pac:

Aldo wouldnt fight pettis before at 155 so cant see him fighting now,

Anyways thats my 2c's on it,

Conor should be out running like the p4p boxing great beside the rolls royces not driving them :pac: he used to run home from strip clubs for the cardio, different discipline but as a counter puncher he never got tired dancing around in 12th rds always sharp,

Does anyone know if McGregor does much roadwork when training?

Bull**** most likely. He probably could fight before that f he really wanted but then that would mean missing 200.
Needs to take as much time as possible dropping back down to FW too.

This is all coming from something that Dana White said which has been misquoted to say the least. Dana said he was in Conor's house and Conor said he wants to fight again as soon as possible. The hacks have taken that to mean that Conor wants to fight before UFC 200 - Dana never actually said that, all he said was Conor wants to fight again as soon as possible.

See link below for the interview with Dana:

I thought it seemed like boll0cks alright, mostly because even if he wanted to fight again before 200, he'll definitely want to fight at 200 and if he gets hurt badly enough in the meantime he could miss that.

Doesn't really answer the question though.

There are also roads all over the country, which is even handier. Still doesn;t answer the question though :D

I agree that those 4 are ahead right now, but I’m looking to early next year.
Khabib will be removing Ferguson from the contenders in a few weeks. And two more of those top 4 will match up at some point. If the LW title will be on the line once or twice this year, that’s 4 contenders off the list. A new title eliminator by the end of the year makes sense.
Barao has moved to 145, I don’t know know if Aldo would want to contend with him. Nova might be happier if he moves up.

I remember he was going roadwork in the morning in Vegas prior to UFC 189.

There are reports this morning that his next fight will be at UFC 200, opponent not named yet. There are also reports that CM Punk will fight Mickey Gall at UFC 200:eek:

I really hope people aren't sleeping on El Cucuy, that guy will give Khabib a serious test... (if Khabib makes it to the fight).

Tony is a beast and a serious contender.

Ferguson is nasty, depending on the odds I'll be tempted to bet on him.

    Very tempted myself.

That Brabo Choke in his last fight was excellent. He has very good standup and his ground game is excellent. I don't think it matches Khabibs ground game, but it'll be competitive. Especially with Khabibs ringrust.

Can't warm to Tony but he's a good fighter, if Khabib shows no ring rust though he will absolutely maul him into another dimension.

    Potentially.

Tony won't want to go in there for a grappling contest with a man who has wrestled a bear, though his sub game is excellent.

Keep it standing and he has a good chance.

Conor will get title shots in the future. It doesn’t matter if its fair or not. He brings in the PVV numbers and the money for the UFC. So long as that keeps happening, Conor will continue to get the big fights.

I haven’t seen McGregor doing much road running. Thou I think its needed. Froch once mentioned that boxers’ running cardio is so high that they are at an runners semi-professional level.

McGregor tired out because he didn’t use his energy efficiently. He threw too many power punches then gassed. Same thing happened with Ali vs Foreman and Pacquiao vs Cotto. McGregor wasn’t smart enough. It’s still worrying that he gassed out in the 2nd round during a 5 round fight. He also seemed to be leaning so far into the punches instead of stepping forward into the space then punching. I’m sure all that leaning would of drained his energy too.

Pacquiao is meant to be a beast of a runner. Barry McGuigan said he used to have to run on his own because he would do 6/7 miles at sub 6 min pace. I used to be a pretty competitive middle distance runner and wouldn't have been up for that! They're big into running long distances in Thailand have heard some gyms run 15k warm up runs every morning before training I would have thought there were more efficient ways to run than that for what fighters are looking to achieve.

just heard there conor will be back at UFC 200 , anyone have an idea who he might be up against ? probably aldo rematch due to the money the company would make ???

More than likely Aldo, but don't put it past the UFC to still give him the title shot against RDA, nothing would surprise me with them anymore, crooked as hell. He might've been promised that fight for 200 win or lose after Dos Anjos pulled out.

Having said that, I'm not sure even Conor would prefer that fight. He needs to win the next one no matter who he's matched up with, and he knows he can beat Aldo (I'd even fancy him to win on points tbh).

Nothing crooked about it. Whatever makes them money they will go with. And rightly so. They're an organisation who's job it is to make money. The only way Conor gets a shot at RDA is if Diaz gets a shot at Lawler. No way can they justify Conor v RDA otherwise. My honest opinion is he chooses Frankie at 145. Then he has cleaned out the division.
