Nothing crooked about it. Whatever makes them money they will go with. And rightly so. They're an organisation who's job it is to make money. The only way Conor gets a shot at RDA is if Diaz gets a shot at Lawler. No way can they justify Conor v RDA otherwise. My honest opinion is he chooses Frankie at 145. Then he has cleaned out the division.

Yeah far enough, they aren't exactly crooked, it was a bad choice of words, I'll admit to that, it's just a bit shady that they completely overlook the rankings time and time again in favour of the "money fight". I totally understand why, they're a business first and foremost but they need to abolish the rankings if they're not going to adhere to them, the system is completely redundant at the minute.

Honestly Edgar would be the more interesting fight. Aldo's recent comments really makes me think that when he was KTFO that there was damage done.

Edgar also deserves a shot IMO, he has been on a decent role and like its been pointed out, if McGregor can beat him, then thats the 145lbs division in his pocket.

Although, him going against Aldo would be interesting, both are coming off a loss and would want to prove themselves again.

    Either way, we win.

The thing about an Aldo rematch is can we bare to go through all that again. The first fight was pretty much a year in the making and by the end I think people were more relived that it was actually happening than excited, especially compared to the Mendes fight.

Edgar is a new challenge, a new build up, a new voice.

To me anyway an Edgar fight would be much more enthralling than a rematch with Aldo.

Aldo just posted this, sorry if it's repost.

Absolutely desperate for it. Tbf, after I watched that video of the diaz brothers talking about mcgregor for 5 minutes backstage after the Michael Johnson fight, I realised how desperate everyone is for the red panty night.

I guess I should have realised when everyone called him out. But that really put it in perspective for me, they were so raging about cursing being censored on Fox.

    McG vs Frankie

Aldo vs Max Hollaway for number one contender

I really hope people aren't sleeping on El Cucuy, that guy will give Khabib a serious test... (if Khabib makes it to the fight).

Tony is a beast and a serious contender.
Not sleeping no him at all. I just highly rate Khabib. I also believe ring rust is up to the fighter. If a fighter is rusty in there, it's because he got rusty. Look at a guy like Cruz on his return, looked great because he made sure he was ready. Khabib is a similar fighter.

Tony Ferg is good but his grappling game has holes in it compared to Khabib.

have noticed a lot of amateur psychoanalysis of McGregor on social media lately, it's pretty cringeworthy.

One wonders what would of happened if the McGregor Aldo fight didn't end so early?

The size difference of McGregor to Aldo on fight night is bigger than the difference between Diaz and mchregor. Its Connors power at 145 that has sailed him through that division.

No way the size was bigger.

Aldo has fought at 155 and struggles to make weight.

Add in two more title fights and I'd be happy. Have to assume there will be three title fights at 200.

    That's a brilliant piece!

Love the way they say every fighter cuts so much to try gain am advantage.

Yet conor seems to be the only one getting slated for it now.

Welterweight title should be up for grabs anyway I wouldn't be so sure on 3 title fights however 2 for sure.

McG is a cert but does he headline?

Are they talking again of the WWE dancer fella competing at this?

McG is a cert and he will headline I'd say. Lawler is likely. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jones v Gus. Or RDA v Khabib/Feeguson. If not, then possibly Mighty Mouse. Or Miesha Tate but she'll probably wait for later in the year for Ronda.

As for CM Punk I don't think anything is official yet in terms of when he fights.

Jones Rumble could be possible too actually the fact that DC Jones is in April the turnaround time should be sufficient at least as long as there's no injuries.

Also can't Imagine them doing Diaz GSP as undercard at 3 rounds seems very unrealistic giving draw of both if it happens it headlines IMO.

Dust has settled from the loss. I was one who was looking forward to see him lose. It was not as I expected I find myself really liking after his loss. He made the walk fought the fight but went out on his shield. He went way up in my estimation. I think losses are good for fighters to feel. He made no excuses accepted his loss. It actually reminded of chuck when he lost belt. Conor proved his a fighter and imo you don't ha e win all the time Chris lytle probably fighter I admire most was never champion material but he always gave 100%

His strength coach made a great point in a podcast with Mike Sheridan, theres no black and white with Conor or middle ground hes either the best in the world or the worst in the world same goes for his promotional standing with the public you either love his schtick or ya cant stand his cockyness mad world he live in.

For UFC 200 I want to see Jones with a quick turnaround v Rumble and Conor v Aldo/Frankie as far as title fights go. I'm not sure if they'll put a 3rd title fight on it, might be pushing it. If so, I'd love to see RDA v Khab/Ferg.

Can't see a quick finish between Jones and Cormier, that fight will be a 5 round war for sure

I'd say he means quick turnaround as in come off a win against Cormier in April and head straight into camp for ufc200 in July.

Fabulous article by Malachy Clerkin in the indo about how mcgregors fans are the whiniest and touchiest around. He makes valid points.

Kind of likened to him a bit more as well tbh.

He really needs to shut up about the money though. You'd think that seeing as he came from a working class background he wouldn't be rubbing the working class peoples noses in it? He's a big fish in a little pond in the UFC.

He's an MMA fighter and champion in the biggest MMA promotion on the planet. How is it a little pond? He's pretty much at the pinnacle of the line of work he's in.

What currency are you dealing in?

He's worth about $10m now after 8 years of being a pro.

When you see him posting pics of his cars etc you can tell he's not making as much as you think he is.

Maria Sharapova won 21m £ last year alone.

There's footballers in china and america that make 10m a year and they don't get smashed in the head for it.
