    Diego? wut?

Perhaps after meditation followed by a few "yes" cartwheels all will become clear.

What are the views going forward for McGregor if he were to lose the next one? .......I really can't see him becoming a journeyman fighter on the roster, doesn't need the money now.....how long would he stick around?

If he loses his next fight I'd be very suprised if he didn't fight Holloway next. It would probably be the fight that makes most sense but I guess this is the UFC so I also wouldn't be surprised if they gave him a heavyweight title shot.

If he loses the next fight you give him somebody he could KO next. I think Holloway would be too much of a risky fight on a 2 fight skid. I'd give him Cerrone.

Cerrone is no easy fight, if he loses his next fight then throw him in with Duffy at LW and have it in Ireland, bill it as a revenge fight. I'd go to see it. He can work his way up the LW rankings then.

Cerrone is a slow starter though, so Conor has good chances, but Cerrone's BJJ is on another level

No way he fights Cerrone, he's moved up to 170, the UFC won't match him.

I think he'll fight Edgar at UFC 200 and he'll probably have a little break. Then next will be a top 10 fighter at 155.

Watched the background of the bulmers ad he did. Pretty cool.

Does McGregor still live in Crumlin or did he buy a new house somewhere in the well off areas?

The ad is for Budweiser! His family moved from Crumlin to Lucan when he was a teenager (15-16 as far as I can remember). The house he bought recently is apparently on the grounds of the K-Club, which wouldn't be a million miles away from the family home in Lucan.

His family moved to Lucan when he was still in school. He bought his own house recently, near the K Club.

Edit: aka what slicus ricus said. ;)

I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t fight Aldo at UFC 200. If he wins or loses against Aldo the fight with Edgar is still on, as there will still be unanswered questions in the FW division.

If he fights Edgar in UFC 200 and loses, the rematch with Aldo won’t generate as much interest.

The other alternative is he fights Aldo at FW then after fight Edgar at LW.

Top comment of the Reddit thread nails it:
2 pictures with no illegal substances, no post-fight injuries, and a pretty normal looking McGregor.

    4chan bollocks.

Guessing that's taken from The Ultimate Fighter series when they invited all the girls over for a house party. The tattoos and haircut also coincide with TUF series. I'm sure McGregor was doing coke and f*cking hookers in front of all the other fighers and coaches while making a tv series for the UFC

    This is a non-story. Doubt it's true.

Also have a look closely at this clip. Around the 1:34 mark you can see the same stones in the background match the stoney walls on the right picture. Also, the house seems to have the same white leather couches. The house in the picture is the same house from the TUF.

He's got a lighter in his hand in the second picture, he must be smoking crack to make weight.

This post was really confused me at first. You mentioned watching MMA for 15 years, but then reference your jiu jitus yellow belt, which is only available for under 16s.
But I see after you are referring to japanese jiu jitsu.

In a nutshell, you are way off the mark here. It's easy to say "don't give your back, drop your chin, do a reversal" when you are dealing with a compliant opponent in a kata. It's significantly harder in verses an opponent with high level jiu jitsu who forces the errors, and exponentially harder when he is punching you.

Is there full contact sparring/rolling for yellow belts in JJJ? Genuine question as I don;t know. But I've seen lots of people from other backgrounds train n all sorts of bizarre defenses that "work" when the practice them them with a partner, but have no hope in hell verses a resisting opponent.
What would you have done differently? Say from the time Nate sat back for the guillotine.

Well obviously it would be much harder than just saying it in practice. My point was that those are 2 very basic things you learn. I did tonnes of ground work against blue, brown & black belts and even if I got caught I knew to keep my chin down. Leaving your neck open like that is a very basic error to be making. Same goes for giving away your back. Both put you in a horrible position altogether.

It's akin to playing the ball across your box in soccer or throwing a flat looped pass in rugby against a rushing defence, you simply don't do it, and if you do, your coach should be giving you a bollocking for making those kind of errors.

On the other hand, he was rocked and wrecked tired so maybe his brain turned off but those really are 2 basics of JJ. Furthermore, it's been a long time since I did JJ, but I'm planning on joining a club soon in Dublin :D:D:D

Watch how he gets his neck again. Nate didn't just roll him over and choke him out. He blocked Conor's attempt to pass guard with his legs and used that to get his back. When he had his back, Conor had kept his neck tight but Nate punched him once or twice on the head, which pushed his head back (good luck keeping your chin tucked when your head is getting pounded) allowing Nate to sweep his arm in under the neck in one very fluid movement.

So he didn't just offer his neck, Nate showed tremendous BJJ to get it. Not exactly a classic BJJ transition because punches aren't allowed but one used by a very savvy ground fighter who has been in the game a long time.

I am not going to say anything but unless you know him personally or have been in his company then I don't think you can make that claim so definitively.

Pissed myself laughing at this comment
sure the last ten years the drug trade in Ireland has been shook up by the former soviet bloc countries.......and the quality and buzz as a result has really improved. Used to be you could only get soapbar and damp coke from the INLA lads, now Mikhail and Artem deliver bags to the door.....what a time to be alive

So you're saying that unless someone knows him, they should assume he's up to no good in his spare time? Despite the fact that the picture is was very clearly taken at the pool party Dana White organised for them in the Ultimate Fighter house!

Another one was the only reason Conor keeps Artem around is because he is his coke dealer and the first response was:
    Nice and snowy Artem!

Lads i dunno, Conor and his drugs are a bigger problem than you think, its not just his consumption that i'd be worried about, its his dealing thats the problem.

My friend took this picture secertly without McGregor knowing as he was meeting with one of his "business" associates:
