Mine has gone terrible too, sometimes take it off charge if i wake in the middle of the night and by the time i leave at 8am it can be down to 70-80% without ever even being picked up.

    Hi all,

I will be picking up a second hand OnePlus One tomorrow from CEX, and looking forward to getting my hands on it.

Going on the previous comments re battery\charging, I take it I should not apply any recent updates relating to this phone as it will most likely not have been updated in the past while depending how long it was in the shop waiting to be sold?

Is there any feedback relating to performance of the phone since it is now at least 1 and a half years old. My last android phone (S3) started getting laggy 6-12 months after I bought it and I'm hoping that with the high spec hardware in this phone, that shouldn't be a problem. While I had it, there was an OS update that pretty much bricked all S3's for a few weeks (that is what drove me back to iOS)

Going on the reviews (albeit from over a year ago) seem to be very positive, although I have heard bad reviews re customer support, but that wouldn't bother me all that much.

    Thanks!!

No issues with mine, no issues with battery, no issues with performance. I dropped it and smashed the screen and repaired it thats about it.

Only gripe is the odd time google maps double pinch to zoom doesnt work it might happen once a month. Soft reboot fixes it.

But no i wouldnt leave updates out, There are those that run different apps than you will, everyones battery usage is diffferent

You'd be mad to buy one in CEX.

What sort of battery averages are people getting? According to GSam, I've used up 63% in 5 hours 4 minutes, with something called com.cyanogenmod.setupwizard taking up 11.5%, which I noticed happening since the system update kept getting pushed.

I bought mine from Amazon for €283 (£217). Admittedly it was shipped from China and took almost a month to deliver.

I'm running sultan but my battery is dire. Any ROM recommendations/tips to extend my battery life?

I don't know if it's the same but I had this problem before on a different phone due to my system language being set to English (Ireland). For Now on Tap to work you need it set to English UK or US.

Was on English UK, changed both system and Google app language to English US rebooted and it's still not working

I'm in the process of restoring an Exodus Nandroid backup. I tried three different Sultans nightlies from Jan and can't get on tap working with no other apps installed no matter what I try. It's not worth flashing to Marshmallow and missing out on the main feature. I'm going to give it a few weeks

    What launcher were you using?

You have to use Google Now Launcher, not Trebuchet (?).

Yes I know that I was using it, I installed the rom and pico opengapps, on first boot activated my Google account, installed only Google search and now launcher on 3 different January nightlies and it refused to work on all 3 in any language setting. I'm back on exodus now anyway, no point in upgrading to marshmallow when the main new feature doesn't work

Sorry, was going for the basic troubleshooting angle, just to make sure you were at least using the correct launcher :)

I installed the ROM firstly from the Jan 6th update and I've been able to use Now on tap without any issues, but am racking my brain to remember if I did anything special to activate it.

As far as I remember, I booted into the rom, choosing google now launcher as default. Swiped to the right to bring up Google Now, opting into the service. Then tap and hold on the home button to activate Now on tap.

The only difference I can see is that you used pico gapps, and I used full gapps.

Mayeb the long pressing home to activate is the trick, I was just trying to activate it in the Google search settings. I'll flash again now and try, I have a backup to go back to easy enough

Didn't work, back flashing my backup once again

Ok, I got it. This is how i forced it in case anyone else has issues.
    Go to apps
Press the gear in the upper right.
    Go to default apps.
    Assist & voice input.
Then under assist app select Google app.

I saw this thread about oneplus phones and was thinking about getting one later in the year. So I signed up to the site not expecting an invite quickly. Now have an invite which I have to use within next 24 hours! So I won't be able to - will I be able to get another invite when I am ready. Also although there is a lot of info about the phones and their site I actually cannot tell if the oneplusx and oneplus2 are both dual sim. Also what size are they? How do they compare with Samsung dual sim phones?

Have they released the newest CM update that can be applied for people with rooted/recovery that isn't stock CM?
