Forget to say am missing the stock android feel but can live with huaweis launcher for the time being

You are looking to move onto a bigger screen then with the Note!

Is that being announced at the Samsung event on Sunday or is that just a Galaxy event?

I am thinking of sticking with 5.5" in size, and that Huawei isn't bad looking. I'm sure that XDA could help with some custom software to get rid of their own launcher.

Food for thought at least! :D

Its not, its still a few months away but all of the reports say Samsung won't make the mistake of omitting Europe from availability for the note again after the response to the note 5.

The galaxy s6 edge will have a 5.5 inch screen so maybe a good one but um happy with the GX8. Feels much better than the OnePlus one.

I'm a bit out of the loop on Sammy's products, haven't had one since the S2, but I had no idea they skipped Europe for the Note 5.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! :pac:

I've actually held a 1+2 in my hands, and whilst it feels better than the 1+1 I don't think it's worth €400, so an edge clocking in at ~ €600 to €700 might not be in my price range either.

How much did the Huawei set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Question, has anyone made an upgrade from the opo and have they found it worthwhile? I'm having no issues but kinda getting that itch for a new phone!!!

i got a motorola x play and its a world of difference. Much better than the OPO i feel.

Anyway to remove minor scratches from the opo screen.

Whats better about it? Getting a bit of an itch myself but I think a new Marshmallow rom might cure that, phone is still as good as the day I got it.

They said in November that OPO would have Marshmallow CM by end of Q1 - wonder if they will make this deadline?

I was half-thinking of an upgrade as well, but the Moto X Play does not appear to be much of an improvement, camera maybe but only 2GB of RAM? If anything, I would prefer a new phone with a 5" screen as the OPO is just a tad on the large side to fit comfortably inside a front trouser pocket.

CM13 may be a while longer too, no white smoke on any of the forums yet. I am overdue a ROM upgrade (current running CM12.1) and my battery life is not what it was 12 months ago (my biggest gripe). Where would be the best place to source a genuine replacement battery?

I've been on marshmallow a few months now on CM nightlies. I have not run into any issues. But before you flash make sure you are on the newest TWRP recovery.

What are the prices of that new S7?

Open to correction, but around €660 to €820 depending on if bought through network or direct from Sammy.

Add €100 to that then for the S7 edge! :)

Yes, well out of my price range. I'm still happy with the Oneplus one anyway. battery life is still excellent, screen is good etc...

Me too, I can't actually give out much about the OPO, but as another poster said earlier, I'm getting the itch for a change.

If it's one of these premium phones, I might have to go back to contract, but I haven't been on a contract in 4 years, and it's the best thing I ever did to get rid of it in the first place!

I sent mine back to OP and it was a great service, shipped back to them and then back to me inside 7 working days

its a bit of a hassle to all the paper work sorted out but it came back in tip top shape, they even replaced the back which had worn a bit from being in my pocket etc.

Any sign of marshmallow (official) coming to the OPO? They said the 1st quarter of 2016 so surely this means by the end of this month at the latest?

Same, it's an easy flash and very stable

    I'm on 12.1-YOG4PAS3JL with a TWRP Recovery version 2.8.7.0

Is flashing the nightly just a question of downloading the zip to the root of the phone and then flashing it using the TWRP recovery?

Will this flash over the existing ROM and leave all apps, app settings and preferences/passwords etc in place?

I wouldn't advise a dirty flash to marshmallow without wiping. You'll end up wiping anyway. Backup your apps with titanium

No you should wipe the device before going onto CM13 to eliminate any problems. Yes you just flash the zip in TWRP also make sure you are on the newest version of TWRP and it is the same to flash TWRP as a ROM just navigate to where the new .img file of TWRP is and flash it through the custom recovery.

Thanks guys, think I'll stick with Lolipop for a while. Can't be ar$ed doing a full backup, wipe and setup again. It always ends up taking longer than I'd like and something usually goes wrong somewhere. I've never had much success getting Titanium to restore app settings. No problem restoring the apps but the settings have been a problem.
