fuzz - your diesel doesn't nail

The start up rattle of a diesel is called "Nageln" in Deutschland. This was some slogan or other considered a few years ago, but it never caught on... :D

I think he means his diesel isn't an "old nail", i.e. a clapped-out Massey. You know he tries, but his German isn't great. He should be saying "ACHTUNG!! MEIN DIESELWAGEN IST NICHT GESCHITTENHEAPEN!!"

    :D

No, I just can't compete with that...

Since there was another 15% off parts in micksgarage I took the plunge on a set of trico neoform wipers sure said I'd try something new at 20 ish quid you can't really go wrong even if they only last half as long as the aerotwins you wouldn't be down money. Got a Bosch rear wiper though as the frame of the Bosch rear wiper is the best looking IMO. Hopefully that's the end of my car spending for another few months. Although I'll probably need a pair of tyres within the next 10k km them pirelli p7 tyres do not wear great and I didn't find them amazing in general. I think I'll try Goodyear efficientgrips next.

    Nope, stiff sidewall.

You are thinking of rainsport 3's

Went from the vreds to eagle f1's and i found the sidewalls on the eagles crap mid corner in comparison. Ruined the feel mid corner in the auld ST after paying a grand for a proper quaife lsd

On the talk of tyres lads 225/50/17 have kumhos on the a4 at the moment.

Probably looking to replace with something along the same lines somewhere in the middle funds are tight at the moment.

It's a blessing in a way that I don't have space for a second car because if I did I would literally be straight out to buy a 197 Clio weekend car once I start work probably during the first week. They are so cheap these days too. I'd probably of bought an mg tf 160 trophy as a summer car too if I had somewhere to store it as they are dirt cheap at this stage and I have a real soft spot for them.

Seems my bank account is really going to benefit from having no garage and a large yard to store loads of extra cars :pac: whenever I buy or build a house it's going to have a massive garage that would literally be my number priority when it comes to houses I'd be happy with a very average house outside of the garage. A lift decent workbench and loads of tools and space it's the dream but is very achievable :) messing around with something in the evening in the comfort of a garage.

Hopefully this is the piece that will sort my NCT woes, going to get it installed and the brakes bled tomorrow and see where I stand, if it's not sorted, I reckon it's new ABS unit time :o
