As the years go on I kind of feel more and more buying a brand new car is a waste of money but I reckon I'll get a new one at least once just for the experience :) probably once I've got my monies worth out of the Megane in a few years.

It's (kinda) true. A car loses a lot of its value in the first year, but we need people to buy them new so we can buy them used. :)

I never heard of CAB before until recently enough. When someone mentioned something about an ST/RS/Mustang or something like that for sale in CAB I thought the Criminal Assets Bureau were selling cars that they seized from criminals :pac:

I've been to collect 10's of brand new cars and vans with my parents at this stage and there is something very cool about it it's an experience you will never get buying any secondhand car.

If I do buy something new id spec it up and get a decent engine size as when your spending that kind of money what's a few extra thousand to have something really nice rather than entry level which will quickly get boring.

Secondhand cars are nice in the fact you can change them more often and generally lose a lot less on them.

I just don't get the idea, I'm sorry but he can see no difference.
Other than having no maintenance every year at a cost of Xk i cannot see the point to it.

No neither can I. Minimum it would have cost him 3k and id say more than that. All your gaining is a new Reg plate and abit less maintenance but worst case scenario the old one needed a set of tyres and a service.

Now if that picture doesn't well and truly prove that the tiger is back then I don't know what does.

I mean really, could you be bothered! Its the EXACT same car and probably the same spec so surely the only reason for it was the reg? Coincidence me hole.

Fools and their money imo... :D

Even the sales man has a big "whoop dee f**king doo another blue focus to replace the one barely run in" head on him.

The "I'm going to make so much money on this guy" look

He knows with the pic that magoo will be back next year like clockwork.
So he sells a car, buys it back with a nice drop after a year. Sells another and sells that.
Sure he's laughing at him :)

dad actually got a very similar reg, 2 trade ins in a row his Polo 02ww4666 and then his Fiesta 05ww2666. i remember when the salesman rang to tell him the reg of the new Fiesta to get his insurance ready to pick it up, dad was nearly sick, didn't want to collect it. he was a bit old fashioned and superstitious. He got another Fiesta in 06, 06ww366 i thought it was but motorcheck says that's a Corolla, but it was definitely 3 digits with 66 in it.

I went into Halfords today, thinking I might get a bulb or two. Turned out they wanted €9.99 for one H3. Had ordered two off eBay for €6.73 all in about 2 hours earlier so I'll just wait until those come.

The bulbs were all the way at the back, so I was walking past a rice section. It was madness. They had two wheels out and both were Wolfraces.

Wolfraces with toy plastic tyres for that matter, that place will rob you blind, only reason I'll go in is for the odd missing tool I need, try wing a trade card you will get significant discounts on it.

Pretty sure it's a discount card, not a trade car than I can get. Or are they the same thing?
