Picked up here again in Newport, not as strong as 3pm or thereabouts, it was unreal then.

Sham town in NE Galway corsav6. Still getting some strong gusts but they seem to be decreasing in frequency for the time being. Rain has got a bit heavier though in the last while.

    Howdy, neighbourino!

WINDSAT winds measured at 18:27, showing some 50-kt barbs to the southwest. The area of black barbs is where the rainfall is causing contamination and hence unreliable readings. It's a big area of rain!

Pretty much a non event here so far, some drizzle and a bit windy but nothing any worse than the last few days, hope it stays that way.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

It is only forecast to be a yellow wind warning for Dublin anyway.

Just going by my immediate location, it seems that HIRLAM's projected totals have been closer the mark than the EURO4 projection, which has overestimated accumulated totals so far.
