I see you're feeling better then? I was going to ask how's your VD but a) I'm not sure I want to know the answer and b) others might misunderstand and think you have something else :p

I haven't had VD in years, marriage kind of ruins that!!!!

Same here, tough enough to read on a laptop, difficult on a mobile device.

Saturday 7th November: 4 miles including St Annes parkrun in 25:30

Given I hadn't done any speed work in a while combined with not great sleep recently I wasn't expecting a PB today, I decided to race but not kill myself. Weather a bit poxy but stopped raining for the run. Met aquinn & Bungy girl who were on cheer leading / marshalling duty today. Set off on the first lap all ok, not looking at the watch but going at what I felt was a reasonable clip. Hit the avenue the first time much sooner than I was expecting. 2nd lap got a big more uncomfortable and when I reached the cheer leading squad the 2nd time I signalled that I was cooked, shortly after that my lace opened so had to stop & re do that  just shows how unprepared I was! Got going again and back to the avenue, pushed on a bit here as much as I could and strava is saying .5 mile @ 4.08, I don't know what that translates to over a mile. Anyway, enjoyed the run and the results say 15th woman and 3rd in my age category. An almost disaster though when I was handed a blank token, I didn’t notice till I gave it to the scanner who saw it was blank (no number & no code) what? this would NEVER happen in Cabinteely :D, turns out it was the famous token 98, phew! Followed by coffee/scone & catch up with the girls and then a 30 min swim & sauna. splits: 8:15, 8:24, 8:08, 6:37 (for the .1)

    Sunday 8th November: 10.2 miles

Woke up to bucketing rain so decided to just do some local loops meaning I'd be home & in a warm shower as soon as I finished, not the prettiest of running routes but in that weather it was just about getting it done. Wet & windy but oddly satisfying. Didn't really look at the watch other than to check the mileage so the HR is higher than HADD but still within easy range in the upcoming marathon plan so am ok with that.

    Distance Pace Elev HR

    1 1.0 mi 11:13 /mi 1 ft 140 bpm
    2 1.0 mi 11:05 /mi -4 ft 133 bpm
    3 1.0 mi 10:51 /mi 23 ft 139 bpm
    4 1.0 mi 10:41 /mi -12 ft 136 bpm
    5 1.0 mi 10:34 /mi -3 ft 140 bpm
    6 1.0 mi 10:57 /mi 0 ft 142 bpm
    7 1.0 mi 11:09 /mi -13 ft 137 bpm
    8 1.0 mi 10:55 /mi 37 ft 142 bpm
    9 1.0 mi 11:00 /mi -32 ft 139 bpm
    10 1.0 mi 10:55 /mi 5 ft 145 bpm
    11 0.2 mi 10:51 /mi -2 ft 147 bpm

Week: 34.1 - a mile down on where I wanted to be this week.
    Nov to date: 41.1
    Year to date: 980.5

Monday 9th November: 3.1 miles easy(ish) @ 10:46 avg hr 148, max hr 215, good considering my max HR is 185  getting a bit fed up with these 'anomalies' tbh. HR started out over 200, almost threw the strap into the liffey there and then. Anyway, jogged on on the faster side of easy. Crazy wind still but rain held off so office colleagues think I'm only marginally unhinged as a chorus of 'you're not SURELY going out in that weather...

    Tuesday 10th November: 5.2 miles including 8 * 400's

First speed session in a few weeks,, the club were doing 12 x 400, I did the first 5 and then every 2nd one after that, tiring but good to do something fast again
    warm up: 2.6 miles @ 9.25

    distance time pace
    1 0.2 mi 1:58 7:40 /mi
    2 0.2 mi 1:50 7:02 /mi
    3 0.2 mi 1:53 7:29 /mi
    4 0.2 mi 1:53 7:22 /mi
    5 0.2 mi 1:53 7:23 /mi
    6 0.2 mi 1:54 7:24 /mi
    7 0.2 mi 1:52 7:14 /mi
    8 0.2 mi 1:45 6:41 /mi
    jog home
    9 0.8 mi 8:52 10:47

Had planned to run to work in the morning but that would be nuts after a session so am going to try running home instead, that'll be interesting...

    Wednesday 11th November Runmute 9 miles @ 10:22, avg hr 142

Thoroughly enjoyed this, lovely evening for it and took pleasure in running past all the cars in traffic :) lots of uphill drags along the way so the legs were getting a bit tired toward the end but otherwise this felt great. Was watching the time hence faster than easy pace and even at that there was still a little sad face looking out the window when I got into the driveway, sorry Woody!

Nice going FD :) Are you still going to Cabinteely tomorrow? I won't make it, real life events are transpiring against me.

I hope to just about make it to Shanganagh - it has the added benefit I can leave my house at 9:20 on foot and still be early :D

:D that is a real benefit, yes am still planning to do Cabinteely in the morning, I must try Shanganagh one of these days too, you'll have to do St. Anne's sometime as well, I think Bungy Girl has set in train a smack down of epic proportions involving herself, KennyG, Murph, aquinn, yaboya and FBOT... I'm sure there will be tickets on sale at a outlet near you soon :D

enjoy Shanganagh! hope the casted son is doing ok.

strava says 998.2 miles for the YTD so I'm going to go over the 1,000 mile mark on my lunch run - so exciting!!! can almost call myself a real runner then :pac:

echm, now that I've run 1,000 miles I should start a new log :p and where's the bling? I presume there's a medal? some sort of award? eeh? no? whatevs

Friday 13th Nov 6 miles @ 10.32 avg HR 138. Another slightly too fast run but was under time pressure & needed to get 6 miles done. This was harder than Wednesdays 9 miles, the legs are feeling a bit tired and holy god the wind coming back up the quays was ferocious, still, a beautiful sunny day and much better than going out in the dark & wet yesterday eve.
