Just catching up here AM, didn't get a chance to wish you well but... Fantastic to read about your 10 mile exploits!!! The PB is great but even better is reading how much you enjoyed it. You have definitely banished the race demons. Delighted for you! :D:D

Well done. Great race and great to keep the positive mindset right to the end. It should do your confidence the power of good the next time you race.

WOW! A seven-minute PB, that's amazing! And it was a tough course (or so I'm telling myself as I was 2 mins and 13 secs SLOWER than my PB).

Good to bump into you again. Loved the race report and well done again.

Monday 23rd Nov 3.15 miles at avg HR 129.

Some very slow recovery miles, a few creaks and groans but nothing too bad, quads are tender and I'd say they'll be sore tomorrow, left Achilles also tender, right hip could do with replacing :D foot a little sore but not bad considering.

Have I mentioned recently how wonderful my clubmates are? Such super people, and of course, truly amazing athletes...and I discovered this morning BOARDS LURKERS!! Get out from behind your lap top lads!!! At least I know now... All joking aside, some stellar performances put in yesterday by both men's & women's teams on a tough course in a super competitive field.

    Lurkers - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Anna is fine, she's taking myself and BG out for a tempo run later.

Can you do a swim/sauna later maybe for moany bits?

    Nothing but ***** FD!

Wish we could bottle your spirit, you're committed to the cause, turning out in the vest when it matters. Attentive, patient and perseverant with your training. With that approach anything is possible. Keep her lit!

    Tuesday 24th Nov 3 miles @ avg hr 128

This was supposed to be 5 but had to pull the plug due to a very sick stomach, felt O.K. leaving the house so not sure where it came from, I thought I could run through it but had to come to standstill at one point, I should probably have walked home probably but the stubborn b*tch in me wanted to get some miles in today rather than none. Something similar happened after Longwood and then I felt queasy for weeks afterwards, hopefully it won't last as long this time...

The legs are much sorer today as I suspected, quads & IT bands in particular. Did lots of foam rolling last night & a strength & stretch routine. A week of very easy running ahead so hopefully will be nicely recovered by the weekend.

    Wednesday 25th Nov: 5 miles @ avg hr 134 11:10

Lunchtime run, first 3.5 miles were ok, then the stomach cramps & nausea started again, last mile back was horrible & had to stop a few times. Forced down a bowl of soup for lunch but might as well have been eating cardboard. Legs feeling much better today, still a twinge or two.

PM: 45 mins strength session in the club gym. found this tough especially on the legs, while they felt better on the run earlier my right IT band in particular was not liking the hurdle jumps or the walking lunges!! only did two rounds (instead of 3) and headed off.

WTF is this if you aren't feeling well?

Excellent. Pretty similar to VO2 with regard to figuring out training paces. Is it with Perfect Pacing?
